Tried 3 things from this place very tasty food especially for being vegan! The hot dog and the chicken wrap were my favorite The place is a little bit hard to find since the sign is not outside. It's on the door. They're in between a few other businesses so don't miss this place. They have ice cream available. Also. There's two or three tables inside. Most of the seating is outside.
I had took my daughter and lady out to eat. I've had great experiences here. But today I was displeased with service, communication and pricing. I had asked for a smoothie in return I was told they stopped serving at 4pm. I was fine with that but where is the signage stating that? Another guess walks in and ask for a smoothie and she gets one on the house. Then two gentlemen walk in and ask for a smoothie after they were told they stop at 4pm. The staff went out of their way to make sure theses men left with smoothies. I was confused and really disappointed that they would go out of their way for certain guess. Adding to that the $11 dollar Mac & Cheese portion is strange. It was the size of a 8 piece chic-fel-A nugget box. We also over heard staff arguing etc. This was the worst visit I’ve had here and it kinda hurts to write this review. Not returning to this establishment but I wish them well.
This place ROCKS. Cashier (Miera, sp?) is the nicest person you'll ever meet, ready to help you with any questions and excited to get you delicious vegan food! Is it healthy? Kinda. Is it amazing? YES. I got the chicken tacos and BLT. I'm told they make a vegan bacon grease. I've had many vegan BLTs and this one takes the cake. It's my instant go-to restaurant, not to mention a really pretty view of the river and outdoor seating! You won't regret it.
This place may not look like much, but the food is absolutely delicious! The 'chicken' tacos were absolutely amazing and so flavorful...the fries (more like potato wedges) were great with the house sauce as well. Outside seating by the water was so relaxing and has a great view. Cashier was friendly and made great recommendations. Menu is quite varied and has a lot to offer.
I visited Drop Squad for my first time tonight. I wish I hadn’t. In addition to waiting 45 minutes for one wrap, I witnessed the worst service I have ever seen. As a travel writer, I visit numerous restaurants across the globe. The service here was by far the most atrocious. The Pros: - The wrap I had - “tuna” - was delicious, as was the vegan ice cream. Don’t worry, they have regular, dairy ice cream as well. -It’s well-priced. Two scoops of ice cream is only $4. -The cook worked tirelessly, uncomplaining as she did so. She stepped in to try to calm her co-worker who was berating customers and yelling at those who dared to ask how much longer they had to wait. -Ice cream orders do not have a 30 + minute wait - Convenient location on Riverwalk The Cons: - The service is atrocious. I’ve never witnessed a server scream at customers or rant about them constantly. The cashier (Mimi, I think) was entitled and unprofessional. Mimi screamed at a woman who had the “audacity” (according to Mimi) to ask, very politely, how much longer she should expect to wait, and whether she needed to come in to retrieve her order. This customer had been sitting outside waiting. Mimi called this woman a liar when she said she’d been told the food would take 30 minutes, not 45. I was there, Mimi said, “about 30 minutes.” Mimi berated many other customers for waiting on the wrong side of what she called, “her restaurant,” despite there being no signs telling people where to wait for their food (which, again, takes 45 minutes to receive). -They are grossly understaffed. There were only two people on staff on a busy, Saturday night of a holiday weekend - one chef and one woman working on cash, serving ice cream, and taking phone orders. No wonder she was so cranky. -The restaurant is cluttered and looks dirty. There is no clear signage to tell people where to wait. And once you’ve been yelled at to stand to the right, you realize you are stuck in a little, claustrophobic hallway with no ability to see the register or the orders coming out. -There are two torn leather chairs by the window to the left of the cashier. They look very dirty and are strangely positioned so you wouldn’t want to sit in them. Regardless, the cashier would scream at you even if you tried as the chairs are in her “no-go” zone. Multiple people waiting in line told me they would never return due to the cashier’s behavior. I, sadly, am one of them.
We went for ice cream. It was good. The wait was way too long but understandable. I don't like leaving bad reviews but it's time for the cashier to find a new line of work. Both times I've been in there, her attitude and customer service is terrible. Today, the mom was yelling at her in front of a full crowd of people. I believe all humans have the potential to be great at something, customer service is not hers.
This is some of the best vegan food you can get by far. I never have a issue with my order And each thing on the menu I try is better than the first thing….if you know you want this, even if you plan on eating at the restaurant, order online ahead because they will make you wait for your food at least 30 minutes. Now let’s address the service. It’s time to fire the skinny light skin girl with glasses. She is rude and disrespectful in a way that attempts to come off cute even though it is blatantly the opposite of that. If I ask you for an update for my order getting slick about how long I was told to wait and how long it will usually take is not the correct way to answer my question. The best way to do it is to front and get me an estimate time. This is just a small dose of the things that I’ve seen this girl do and each time I see it I always wonder why she hasn’t been fired yet? Is she connected to the owners people? I don’t know but one thing I do know is that good food and good service should go hand and hand and when they don’t it’s time to stop supporting a business that only has and not the other…
Nice cozy place. I got the G.O.A.T and the hibiscus strawberry tea. Both were very good with unique flavors and aroma.
Honestly the best vegan sandwich I've ever had. Good price too while some other restaurants are charging waaay too much. The person who took our order seemed like such a kind good-hearted soul too. Definitely be back when I'm in the area!
The food is excellent...I had the Maryland Krab Soup, Greens (very good) and Buffalo Soldier...wanted sauce on the side; they forgot to put it on the side (not so good). My daughter had the Philly Cheese (awesome). The young lady who took our order ❤❤❤ her...however there was a lady sitting in the corner...bad vibes. I sat in my RV until the food was done. My daughter waited...after she left, the door didn't close quick enough before the sitting lady started to gossip. Yes, my daughter was very cold! We drove up from Florida...our RV is very warm, so she just grab her coat and ran inside to order...This place has tons of information however good vibes are important.
