I do recommend Capriotti's, but this particular shop seems to be skimping on the meat as of late.We frequent Capriotti's when we are in an area with one. Luckily, they aren't too spread out. However, the 3 or so times I have been here, the subs were a little......flat. no matter which ones we order.Capriotti's has some of the best rolls around, so definitely go to one......but maybe try the next closest one instead.
The food was greatHowever I got embarrassed by one employee for how I chose to order the food. I ordered it through Doordash, which does have higher prices due to Capriotti's financing to be on the app. However, I had a discount, chose to pick it up myself, and not pay for delivery. So it was worth the price. I get there, and the employee tells me how I shouldn't have done that, they I stupidly paid for extra, in a room full of people. The reason why he thought I paid extra was because the discount wasn't present on the receipt. I felt like he had an attitude about how people spent money, and wanted to vent his issues out on me. Also, if you're trying to run a business, why would say that? It's best to stay silent about ways that could gain profit, if that's marketing through the Doordash app. Anyways, now I'm writing this post because I want to tell what I experienced so others can be cautious of the employees working there.
Just ordered a Bobbie and the roll was so hard I thought about taking it back. Had to call 3 times before anyone answered. Wondering if I got a 5 day old roll since I asked for extra mayo, considering they were complaining about people asking for special condiments. Don’t know what the deal is at the Silverside Rd store, but at $19 a sandwich I doubt I’ll be going back there!
Definitely not walk-in, these guys are always busy, your best bet is ordering ahead online and then picking up. Sandwiches are the best around town, especially the Bobbie and Italian sandwiches. Beats going to Wawa, you're getting a much more high quality sandwich here than there. They prioritize quality.
I have loved the basin road capriottis location for many years, however the silverside road location just stinks. The employees act like your bothering them and the food is mediocre. I've given them multiple chances cuz I get that times are tough, but they continue to disappoint.
The Bobbie is a good sandwich.. the bread isn’t too thick and they pack it with turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.. the people behind the counter are a delight to talk to.. really nice people.. I would recommend checking it out.. half a sub was $6.. reasonable pricing..
It was a disgrace. I ordered a large roast beef and not only is it no longer the shredded roast beef but roast beef lunch meat with hardly any mostly lettuce. What happened capriottis you use to be the best?
I bought a Italian sub $17.00 and when we got the Sub home it was so empty .with more tomatoes ? and ? onions on it then Meat. The owner/manager was so Rude it didn't make sense. She asked me to Never come back and I explained to her if I wanted a tomatoes and onion sandwich . It surely would Not cost $17.00. I did get my Money back but the Nerve of her.
It's about 50/50 whether the staff will be nice or rude. But the bigger issue is they don't seem to be able to handle their lunch volume. Online ordering fails or isn't available and the line is busy when you call. Maybe I should try a carrier pigeon next time. If the sandwiches weren't so good, I'd have given up by now.
Sandwiches are great but employees here are rude. I work in food service, do understand the challenges. Most restaurants struggle to find employees these days...not the problem here...there must have been at least 12 employees there today.I had called in order and arrived soon after, expecting to wait. An employee asked if I had called in or needed to place an.order. I told her call in, gave her my name, and said it's probably not ready yet. She looked at a couple of bags, looked destraught like she couldn't find it. I repeated, it may not be done yet. Then another employee said she was wrapping it up. The first employee grabbed my bag, and set it on the counter in front of me, saying they'll ring you up.I then watched two employees conversing with a Door Dash delivery guy as I waited...just chit chat conversation.Another employee then said "Can I help you?" I said I was told somebody would ring me up, so I don't know. Then the blonde older lady, who was chit chatting with Door Dash dude then says in a snippy way "Maybe he's ringing somebody else up." Then, under her breath, said "I'm getting tired of customers like that." Then other dude...the tallest dude there with mustache, says "It's going to be a good day.", which I wasn't sure if it was directed at me or her. Then the guy that rings you up, the Black older gentleman, tells me my total, I hand him a $20 over the counter and he barely stretches out his arm, like I have to reach even further, and he pulled the same crocodile arm move in handing me back my change. The funny thing is, the ring up guy wasn't ringing up anybody else, like the woman said, because there was only me, Door dash guy, and two other customers that were there together, who weren't getting rung up...because I was there, watching. They have the sandwiches, they have plenty of employees, now all they need is a better system, and better attitudes. Also, none of them wear masks in a small space, close to customers.
