This was an unplanned pit-stop for us. We ordered Mysore masala Dosa, masala tea, chhole and tandoori roti. The food arrived in disposable plates except the dosa. We were bummed a bit but after tasting the food, we were reminded of Indian food back home. This is good quality, appropriate spice level Indian food. That's why they get a 5-star. The staff is sweet and courteous. Thank you Bawarchi!
This food is amazing, every ?? single??time??. They are also extremely friendly and kind. I always order butter chicken, garlic naan & samosas, its one of the best ive had. Alot of places have no flavor in their butter chicken, even if you order mild you will not miss out on any flavor. Place is clean & everyone at my job always wants to order when i say im going, lunch break staple for sure! Portions are enough to split with 2 people or eat another meal later (i guess depending on how much you eat) Some of the negative reviews make me wonder if they are generated by a jelous competitor or something.
They served us samosas in this container and the container was burnt out. Not recommended!!
Not So Fresh Food
Ordered chicken tandoori with garlic naan and it was so flavorful and delicious! Can't wait to try more from their menu.
I am a vegan and unfortunately the workers there don't seem to speak good enough English for me to feel comfortable that they understand my dietary needs. As a result I'm not really sure what i can order on their menu or if the employees in there understand what i am asking of them, or how i want my meal altered to be vegan(or if they even know what vegan means). So i cannot recommend this place if you have specific dietary restrictions like i do. I did get Dal there once and it was just ok, not spicy enough or flavorful for me, still i haven't been able to try much of the menu so i can't say too much about the food. I also didn't like that my take out came in Styrofoam.
Bawarchi is overall a good restaurant. I am a regular customer and I was ordering food for last 03 years. But sometimes they couldn’t keep their quality and standard of foods. Today, we ordered 02 chicken fried rice and paid $25.98. Surprisingly, you have to employ a search team to find the chicken in it. There were merely some so small chicken pieces and it more felt like we are having a egg-vegtable fried rice. Making a profit is natural but it should be reasonable.
Worse place to eat. Don’t ever go there preparation is negative. Don’t ever go it’s waste of time and waste of money. I wish you were out of business or should be out soon. Health department should visit you guys and shut you down. Cleanliness negative, please take care of rats in your store.
We always get the same thing (Paneer Butter Masala) which is absolutely delicious and the butter naan is great! Only 4 stars because of the lack of spice. Chose medium the first time we ordered, went for hot the second time, but no matter what level you choose, it's just not spicy (and my spice tolerance is not very high).
My current favorite indian restaurant in Wilmington. We order at least once a month. Love the saag lamb and all their biriyanis are delicious!! Their spice levels are legit.
