The food was unremarkable, which is too bad because we drove here from Philadelphia having had a wonderful experience here about two years ago. I had crab cake salad appetizer and New England clam chowder. There were a lot of fillers in both and neither had much taste. My husband had oyster stew and mussels. The oyster stew was thin, and the mussels were nothing out of the ordinary. The bread was blah and dry, and it was served with cold butter. Our server seemed to be overwhelmed and inattentive. We will not be coming back even though the setting is quite nice.
Started with excellent cocktails and fresh oysters (amazing) and outrageous drunken mussels with ginger. Went on to pan seared red snapper and seared sea scallops that were also delicious, all served with pleasant professionalism by Randy! Well worth the 75 minute drive from Doylestown PA!
We love to dine at Banks on the back patio by the river walk. The view is wonderful and itâs a nice quiet area if you want to have a nice conversation. The food is seasonal so the menu changes daily and it is always delicious. We ordered dessert this visit and chocolate truffles with apricots and almond lemon cake are divine!

The setting was lovely. Unfortunately we ordered littleneck steamers which were good but sandy. We also ordered a fish dish that was overdone and just smaller pieces of fish. Iâve been there several times before and have always had a great meal. My guess is they may potentially be understaffed??
We had a very nice dinner at Banks Seafood, but the prices were excessive.
First time...based on previous reviews we assumed atmosphere would be more intimate since we were celebrating our anniversary. Food was good although the clams casino was over cooked. Waiter was very robotic and did not attempt to make any personal connections with us. Overall great place for hanging out with friends /family not great for intimate occasions.
