Right from stepping into this unassuming bar and grill I felt welcomed and comfortable. I chose to sit over on the bar side and my sever, Sam, was attentive, but gave me the space to mull over the menu as I was being indecisive. After talking with him I landed on the Reuben and it was delicious! Nearly melted in mouth while eating it. Everything was hot and fresh. Whether you live in the area or are visiting the beach I would highly recommend you stop in at The Pond.
With so many options in the area this one turned out to be really good. First time here, place was clean and food was good. We mostly had typical bar foods, cheesesteak, burgers, wraps and some cheesesteak fry thing; all good. A little expensive but I think the prices are comparable to everything else along this strip especially during vacation season.
Ordered on DoorDash for pick up. I’m glad I did pickup over delivery. For just my wrap with delivery it would have been $30. Pretty high priced. Honestly, only reason I ended up ordering from here was because there was a 35% off pick up order coupon on DoorDash. If not, wow. Inflation is understood but I ended up paying $18 with pickup so I found that reasonable.Overall, my wrap was good and my mozz sticks were a good quantity + side of sauce. Now, they also forgot my side of coleslaw with my wrap so this dinged them a star.I loved the live music when I popped in to pick up my order!
My wife and I walked in the pond at 5:30 for dinner we were greated at the entrance by a very nice young gentleman who said sit yourself down in any booth and he will return to us with menus, we were the only ones in the room, he gave us the menu's and told us it was burger night special, next a waitress comes to our table and tells us the gentleman is in training, it is his first day that she will take care of us, she brings us waters, next the room starts to fill up, she starts running from table to table taking drink orders and food orders, not taking our order, just telling us to wait, finally I flag down the new guy and asked him to take our order, that I don't want her to wait on us, he takes our order, I asked for a garden salad to start with and one of the burger special's and a beer, wait about 15/20 minutes no beer yet then he tells me they are all out of that burger, fine I order a cheese steak sandwich with sauteed onions and again ask for the beer, wait another 15 minutes we finally got the salads, 1/2 minutes go by cheese steak sandwich arrived, still working on the salad, when I get to the sandwich, no sauteed onions, after I finish half of the sandwich he came over and asked how everything is, told him no onions, the fries were burnt, and was never offered ketchup. I told him it's not his fault, that he's being trained by an airhead, place seems mismanaged. Very painful experience.
Honestly, went here with my girlfriend and absolutely loved the food! Our waitress was Kathleen and she def went above and beyond. We both got the short rib grilled cheese sandwiches, fantastic! Kathleen even got the chef to add a layer of the mac and cheese onto the sandwich for me (by far the best sandwich I’ve ever had).We will def be back to this spot next year, props to this place they went above and beyond for us!

Band constantly Plays late. Why. Every time regardless of band never starts on time. Very unprofessional. It's up to the owner to take care of this unless it's done on purpose. It's frustrating bc none knows when they will start. I have tried to be patient but this will be our last time here I should have learned.
First time here. The staff were wonderful. The food excellent. We will definitely be returning!!
the bands are always late to start and tonight was horrible. they state they start at 9pm yet started at 935 pm. this is constant with the pond. very unprofessional upon the owner. they should keep to their word. i wonder what time the band gets paid to start. that could be the problem. perhaps it is not the bands fault , ?
