Went here 2x - the people are super nice and the nachos are absolutely tasty!! Will go again!

Went here with a group of five for dinner and game night. This is a place we have been to before but we are just starting to go back out with Covid seemingly less deadly and a bit less prevalent. I ordered a half pound of steamed shrimp appetizer and the grilled Barrimunda fish off the specials board and it was delicious. It came with two sides and I chose cole slaw and salad and both were good. Since I am dieting, I just has diet soda instead of a drink or wine. We played Survey Sez and we got every question right except the first and then won the "trophy" and a $40 gift certificate which we used to reduce our meal price. One of the good things about this place is that it is in the Midway shopping which has lots of free parking. Service was very good. The others also enjoyed their meals. Several nights they offer music including local favorite Bryan Clark on piano who we also enjoy so we will be back.

Have been to eat here twice. Both times food was fabulous. This weekend my MIL had the Caribbean Mahi-mahi, hubby had grilled salmon with lemon caper sauce and vegetable medley (medley was an odd combination —green beans and corn), and I had the seafood pasta. All our meals were prepared wonderfully and tasted great. We also each had a different cocktail: June Bug was so fresh and I loved it, hubby had a Rye Old Fashion, and MIL a Lemondrop martini. All the drinks were very good. Not weak, not overly strong—bartender definitely can make a good cocktail. Cocktails are also very reasonably priced especially for a beach town. Service is slow. Don’t expect to get in and out in an hour or even 2 hours. Tina was our waitress and she was a sweetheart. Service is pleasant—just very relaxed and slow. Entertainment: the first time we were there (a few months ago) there was a singer—mostly Frank Sinatra songs as I remember. A little loud for the space but enjoyable; many couples were dancing on the side stage area. This weekend was a Drag Show. It was extremely loud. I had never seen a Drag Show so don’t have anything to compare it to but would definitely prefer not to be eating my dinner while the show was going on. My suggestion is to check their website to see what the evening entertainment is before you decide to dine there. Completely different vibes based on the entertainment.Three stars because very slow (like they don’t want you to leave) and the unpredictable of the entertainment and volume levels. I must say food, drinks and desserts should earn this restaurant 4-5 stars rate. Cost: cocktails were reasonable, had a few beer specials; Complete entrees were $24-35, didn’t notice the dessert prices but all three we tried were delicious.

I really hoped I could give this place a glowing review. I had high hopes because of previous reviews. Let's count the pros and cons.Pros:Easy reservationOutstanding crab dipSeared scallops risottoAnd burgersCoconut shrimpLive musicKind serverCons:-Music was way too loud for the echo chamber of a restaurant-fried seafood platter was bland and tasteless-garlic potatoes had no garlic-mac and cheese had no taste-Chef's pasta special was actually chefs rice stir fry-very overpricedThe music was so loud the server had trouble hearing us. My 10yo nephew was really disappointed when the "chefs pasta" came out and it was stir fried rice and not pasta. Thankfully our server took it back and brought him a pasta dish. The crab dip appetizer was absolutely amazing. Well done.It seems as though there Are 2 different chefs working the back where one loves cooking and the other is just kinda there. It's very evident in the food what dishes the chef likes. It's really unfortunate because it only disappoints the customers.A good place to go if you wanna try your luck at which dishes will be good.

Great Service. Food is always delicious. The Fried Avocado with Shrimp Salad is the best. Coconut Fried Butterfly Shrimp are also delicious. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. Chef Manny and Jack have put together a great menu. Always look forward to dining at Shrimpy's when visiting the area.

Never again. Walked in and was told I needed reservations and they had no seats. 10 people in the place with lots of empty seating including the bar area. People staying in the same hotel as me said they had no problem getting a seat without reservations 1/2 hour after I was there. My opinion is they don't like tattoos. The hideout arcade bar & grille was definitely worth it though. Would definitely go there again

A first visit. A last. The live music was good BUT deafeningly loud for the space. Staff was friendly. The table was so sticky my cell.phone stuck to it. A table at the front of the restaurant as you walk in was uncleared from diners that had left before we arrived and was still a mess when we left. The pasta special, beef stroganoff, was hamburger pattie crumbles served with penne in some watery sauce..... seriously, as a chef special, read the recipe. Wrong meat wrong pasta wrong sauce. We had heard good things as a local funspot so maybe this was a bad night.

A pleasant surprise featuring American, and Italian cuisine. Don't let the sign on the front fool you, this lively local hidden gem offers a highly friendly staff that will make you laugh and food worth coming back for. Very pleasantly surprised with this visit. Noise level was higher tonight but the live band was worth it and on tune! Would recommend the firecracker shrimp and anyone daring to try this local hot spot.

HUGE portions! Speedy service from the kitchen and our waitress was very kind.Music was uncomfortably loud for a space that size and it was hard to have conversation at our own table. Otherwise, it was lovely!

Great food and great entertainment. Staff is friendly!
