Our dinner was very good. My shrimps & scallops corn chowder was creamy and tasty, albeit a little on the salty side. My grilled salmon was excellent, done just right. I always say that chicken breast and salmon show a chef's calibre. It can be tough & dry if overcooked. However, a couple of the asparagus stems were not nipped enough, rendered it a bit tough. But overall I felt it was very good. My partner had shrimp & sausage over grits. He said his entree was very good too. His chocolate cake dessert was moist, rich & dense. One minor complaint is that toilet paper and paper towels were entirely missing in one bathroom (around 9 pm on Friday, 5/27/22). I would have given a 5-star if the bathroom was kept up.
I was so excited to try this restaurant. I made a reservation weeks ago to celebrate my sister's birthday. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.First, we waited 10-15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Once seated and after placing our orders, we noticed the ceiling was leaking a nasty brown liquid that was dripping onto the curtain that our table was set against. The leak was active but brown stains all the way down the curtain indicated a recurring problem. We could see the pipes the liquid was coming from and it was clearly coming from a drain pipe. We are confident based on the size of the pipe it was coming from a bathroom in the rentals above the restaurant. So we were likely sat by leaking sewage. There had been an attempt to fix/patch the leak unsuccessfully from what we could see. We brought this to the attention of the GM who claimed to be unaware of the leak until that point. We probably should have left after this but opted to move our table instead since we had already placed our orders quite a bit before we noticed this issue. They quickly seated another party at the table by the leak.About 40 minutes after ordering, we finally received our drinks. Our server told us there was only 1 bartender working. We only had our drinks for 2 minutes before receiving our entrees. 2 members of our party ordered the same dish. 1 dish was hot and the other was cold. Some enjoyed their dishes others thought they were okay. All agreed portions were on the small side. The restaurant is also extremely cluttered. The back room we were originally seated in not only served as a busy dining space but also storage area for many extra boxes of wine, chairs, etc.. This is not the atmosphere of a restaurant with a $30+ average entree price.I'm astonished by how highly rated this restaurant is. Again, we will not be returning and I seriously regret picking this restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday with my family.
We enjoyed our entrees, and found the service to be friendly. We recommend saving room for dessert, it's worth it! It's well suited for couples and groups.
The restaurant is in a convenient location close to our hotel and we were surprised at how large it was although it was nicely broken up into smaller dining areas each with a lovely décor. Our server Sherry was very good and helpful. My wife greatly enjoyed her pork chop as did I with my salmon. Both were nicely cooked and had a great taste. We tried a SCHILD red which we enjoyed. Overall a wonderful experience in a lively environment with great service. Dinner was filling so sorry that we didn't get to try the desserts.
While in Rehoboth Beach we dined at Salt Air and so glad we did. FOOD: The food was exceptional! We highly recommend the Salmon as well as the Shrimp and Grits. The crackers brought out to the table where also delicious and has my mouth watering thinking about them...sometimes its the simple things! ATMOSPHERE: Not exactly what we were expecting. Warm and cozy with lots of stuff everywhere. SERVICE: Friendly and attentive RESERVATIONS HIGHLY SUGGESTED!
Phenomenal food and atmosphere. We stumbled across this place sourly be accident and it was excellent. Amazing food, very professional staff, top notch.
Food was delicious, service was awesome! And priced nicely for dinner! We enjoyed our time there for dinner.
Great service, excellent food, tremendous ambiance. I enjoyed a hearty seafood stew, my companion had shrimp and grits with chorizo and spinach. Two classics, top notch.
We had a great experience! Sarah was a wonderful waitress, and the food was delicious. We loved the crab and spinach dip and fries. The chocolate cake was good, and then we had the NY strip and bolognese as entrees. All such great food. I think our favorite was the crab and spinach dip. Definitely recommend. We look forward to coming back again.
Atmosphere great. Very comforting and cozy. Christmas decor is fabulous?. The service was great and the food was delicious. The tuna and the pork chops are the two meals we ate. Definitely will be coming back with friends. Thank you!
