Went in Thursday (7/21) night to purchase a quart of ice cream to bring back to the house. When I got back, the ice cream was completely soft and melted. Called Kilwin's immediately to let them know about the consistency of the ice cream. The young lady on the phone told me that they were aware the store's freezer (where the cakes and prepackaged quart ice cream) was not working properly. When asked, "If you know this about the freezer, why are you still selling the ice cream to customers?" there was no reasonable response other than, "well you can try to refreeze it and see what happens?" I went back to the store to either get a refund or a replacement. The young lady at the counter offered to replace the quart by hand scooping it. The initial large tub she scooped out of was also melted/watery. A second tub was brought out and that consistency was better.I have been to other Kilwin's chains before and I was definitely disappointed in the customer service. CHECK your prepackaged quarts whenever you bring home!
Had a milkshakes which were delicious. Expensive though at $24… the price you pay for ice cream at the beach.
Use to be a real good old fasten ice cream and fudge store now they've changed into a real let's forget that the customer is what made us great and rip them of instead.
I loved everything I got from here!the fudge was delicious, and plentiful. The prices were awesome. the caramel rice crispy treats were awesome as well! I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.
This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Me and my friends went here tonight and all the workers were incredibly rude. They were rushing us out the door and when we placed our orders, a simple request, a rootbeer float they proceeded to roll their eyes as if it was a complicated order. Paid full price for our cups to be half full and one had a bug in it. Also rolled their eyes when we asked for a spoon. A friend asked for a sundae and the proceeded to tell us that “they put the fudge away already” will not be returning ever again.
Enjoyed their dark chocolate bars and Turtles. My husband crushed the caramel corn with pecans and almonds. Everything we purchased was fresh. The staff was polite a fast with checkout ??
This chain is awesome! A happy find for the family because the sent of the store is the sent of vacation, joy, and happiness. The ice-cream and treats are always a hit. Thank you Kilwin’s!
Racially biased staff. Waited over 5 minutes for service without even being acknowledged but when a white woman jumped ahead of us and merely approached the counter, a worker immediately came over to assist her. Only when I pointed it out did another staff member attend to us - she just got the item we wanted and rung us up, without an apology or even acknowledging what had happened. Deplorable!!
Incredibly good chocolates. Pricey, but awesome. I love dark chocolate "creams" (orange, raspberry, vanilla, and maple the most). I always stop here. Yum.
Kilwins has the best fudge I’ve ever eaten! Just as good as my mothers!
