We keep coming back to Federal Fritter as the food and service are top-notch. There are so many yummy choices on their summer menu including scallops which are delicious. We love how they incorporate so much local produce into their menus. Love the peach dessert too!
Federal Fritter was outstanding as usual. The chilled corn soup and crab salad starters were fabulous and we loved the scallops.

What a hidden gem! This place is amazing. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and since our table wasnât ready yet, they made space for us up front to enjoy some wine and gave us some complimentary risotto fritters. The owner/chef stopped by our table during dinner to also check on us. We will be back!!
The food was fantastic and the service was as well. Our only complaint was the noise level. We would definitely go back next time we are in Delaware.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal - both of the egg yolk fettuccine and cauliflower entrees were amazingly delicious and the service was top-notch. Kudos to the chef and the wait staff. The fritters are not to be missed, either. My new favorite restaurant at the beach.
This was our first visit to FF, so we werenât sure what to expect. The awning in front of the restaurant refers to it as a âsnack shop,â but itâs anything but that. The atmosphere is quirky, our service was very good, but the food was just ok. I was shocked when I saw the entree prices - weâre used to paying that at places like Blue Moon and Harbour (Lewes), but not at a fritter joint. The food was good, but not for those prices!
