Excellent lil ice cream cafe! A real gem ?.. lovely casual outside seating in a inconspicuous location very relaxing and lots of flavors to choose from! I love to stop by to see what new flavors are introduced. They’re all delicious! I can’t Waite to start my ice cream journey back! ??
Delicious freshly made ice cream served by University of Delaware students. They also have a selection of cheese and cheese curds. There’s a large parking lot. There’s a walk up window as well as a shop. There are picnic tables outside. We’ve been many times over the past 10 years and enjoyed it every time.
Their sandwiches are bussin!!! And the environment is very chill to study and conversate! Great collab choice for Barnes and Noble
Very generous serving of ice cream! Yummy flavors, lots of choice. There was an Ube flavor purple sweet potato) and it was yummy. The Death by Chocolate was rich and amazing.
The ice cream was excellent, the price was great and the service was awesome. In addition to ice-cream they serve coffee, their own dairy cheese and sandwiches.
I love to support the UD farm by getting ice cream at the UDairy Creamery, so I decided to come try the new Main Street cafe. I ordered the chipotle turkey "grilled cheese" and was not impressed. The bread on the sandwich was very dense and seemed quite stale, and the rest of the ingredients were just not that tasty, didn't taste much chipotle sauce at all. It was not really a grilled cheese, more so just a sandwich. They say they use their own cheese from the cows on the farm, so that is pretty neat. Overall though, didn't feel the quality was worth the price based on what I could get elsewhere for a similar cost.Sandwiches were sitting pre-made on trays in a display case, not sure how long they had been there for - and if that's why mine was stale? The sandwiches didn't seem overly complex, so I would have expected them to be made fresh to order. The South College Ave location is always staffed by students, but it doesn't seem as though this cafe is. The woman working seemed too old to be a student and was friendly enough, but spoke with a sort of condescending tone.Did not order any ice cream this time, but it appears they do not have as many flavors as the location on South College Ave has. Still seems to be a convenient spot to stop and get a cone while on Main Street. I personally would not go back for the other food items.
The peppermint bark ice cream is so good. It's nice to have the seating area at the new cafe.
Got a sandwich, bacon was raw and bread was rock hard.
