So... I've came here for at least three years with the usual crew of friends, who all work in the service industry and we've always had a great time and great service.Well yesterday ended that... Throughout the years from Patrick to Jewels to Noel we've always gotten great, prompt and efficient service without an issue. Last night a group of us went out to celebrate a friend's birthday as we always do at Shell's. While there we received absolutely terrible service from our waitress and waited obscene amounts of time for food and drink orders. It wasn't like it was a packed house or on a wait, the bar itself was half sat at most and there were multiple high tops open. Everytime we asked for something it seemed like we were inconveniencing her to do what we are literally paying her for. Finally when it came time to cash out she dropped our bill, which had multiple tabs and she knew that. To than expect us to tally and separate it ourselves because she "didn't have time". After we spent time doing the job she is being paid to do, I said forget it and paid the tab and we split it up later on. Which we shouldn't have had to do. As I paid, all of my friends being in the service industry advised that I leave a less than normal tip since we received such bad service. I did and as I was leaving the manager Kayla proceeded to follow us out with an attitude, then had the audacity to send a picture of my bill to my friend who sat with all of us and advised me to not extend a good tip for bad service. So I guess in attempt to shame me or down talk me she felt the need to send my personal information via unsecured public sources. Which is illegal and tap dances very closely to criminal offenses. So... be warned if you receive bad service and don't tip according to service standards you'll be shamed and your private financial information will be shared. I don't ever plan on coming to this place again.
Shellhammers has some of the tastiest food choices for a bar! I love it. The happy hour prices are great & the food tastes good and not like bar food. The bartender, Josh is just 1 of the standout staff members who has always shown great customer care, remembered our names and our favorite drink/food choices even if we hadn't been there in 6 months ? One time while a classmate and I decided to meet their and catch up. Towards the end of our meal, a gentleman put $20 on our table (I suppose to help with our bill) and all he said was "have a nice day" I asked Josh who he was and he said a "very nice regular" That act of kindness has stuck with me and I will pay it forward ???
WOW!!! Wife and I decided to have an early dinner here. She ordered the Lumberjack meal and I had a Rawhide burger. Both were fantastic. They know how to make a great burger and they put the veggies on the bottom!Lukas was a great server. Very attentative and friendly.Highly recommended checking them out. We intend to return here whenever we will be in town for a few days.I'm sure you too will enjoy your meal here as we did.
First time here, we weren't expecting much from or experience with restaurant/bars.We were blown away, great drinks, great food, and great service. Only negative was the speed of the service. This wasn't enough to bother us, though, as the food and drinks were just damn good. We'd recommend this place any day. A new favorite. Our water was Lucas I think, looks like shaggy. Very cool guy. Attentive and charismatic. Our to go order was a bit off and they promptly fixed the issue. The music here is also pretty good all around.
This place is single-handedly running the biggest scam operation in the history of cheesesteak sandwiches. I ordered a cheesesteak to go, with ketchup and mayo, because thats the right way to do it. I got home and as soon as I opened the container I realized that I had been bamboozled. What laid in-front of me was an imposter of a cheesesteak, or should I say, half a cheesesteak pretending to be a full sized one. This sandwich must’ve come on a 4-5 inch sub roll, no more, but possibly less. It most definitely was not a 6 inch torpedo roll because I’ve seen my fair share of 6 inches, and boy was that not it. Secondly, the bread to meat ratio was way off, and unless you’re a duck at the pond, it was not in the good way. I must have gotten the final bits of the cheesesteak tree they had growing in the back because there was a sad amount of meat between those buns. If I didn’t know any better I would’ve thought that the chefs had gotten a single pack of cheesesteak meat in for the week and were doing everything they could to make it last until the next truck came in. Thirdly, and this is just me nitpicking, the ketchup packets I received to accompany my surprisingly well seasoned french fries contained a flavor I have never experienced before. Either this bar has completely revolutionized the ketchup game or they found the cheapest available packets that you can still legally call ketchup and they threw them in the bag. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it’s the latter. When I tell you that these ketchup packets contained the sweetest ketchup I have ever had the displeasure of tasting, I am not exaggerating. Those ketchup packets were sweeter than my late grandmother Lore, and by god she was the sweetest old lady to ever walk the face of the earth, may she rest in peace. It was like I was dipping my fries in a tomato based dessert. The fact that this meal ran me $14 should be considered a crime. I have never once ordered dinner from a restaurant and thought to myself “wow, I really wish I had ordered two of those” after I finished eating, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. All things considered, the steak was delicious and the meat to cheese ratio was a 10/10. The place was clean and the staff was friendly, but unless I win the lottery sometime soon, I won’t be able to afford to continue ordering cheesesteaks from here. Shellhammers, you still have my business, but you’re on thin ice buddy.
Stopped at random while passing through. The place was busy a good sign in my book. We had lunch it was fantastic. In my opinion they have great twist on classic's, I believe you can't go wrong. Food great, service excellent. The place was busy our server was still friendly and attentive we lack for nothing. Meals, couple drinks each and generous tip was $41. If I am ever near on my travels I will will go out of my way to patronize for food, service, value and peace of mind!!!
Came here to grab a bite before the movies and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved my meal! From the outside, I was doubtful of a strip mall restaurant. Don't be fooled! I, for one, was not disappointed at all.I had the Monday special - a Philly cheese steak for $10. It had a great taste, not overcooked, and solid portions. The fries were very good, especially if you like them very potato-y and on the softer side. I paired it with a side of chipotle aioli for dipping. So good! Our server was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely return!
The half price fajitas on Thursdays are delicious! The service was fantastic, too. Only thing was food took a bit longer than expected to come out of the kitchen buy when it did it was sizzling hot and fresh. I will definitely go back!
It’s very, VERY rare that I don’t have at least one negative thing to say about a restaurant. The inside was nicely decorated and the menu options blew my mind.Ordered one of the burgers and it was so fresh and cooked just perfect. Fries were crispy enough yet perfect amount of potatoes. Beer prices were average. Can’t wait to come back again and try something else. Worth the 1.5 hour trip!
None of the staff at the bar or serving tables was wearing a mask. Very concerning that there would be such disregard considering the increase in cases.
