Don't bother wasting your time with any of the other Mexican restaurants in town, just come here instead. Hands down the best sit down Mexican restaurant to come to Delaware. Reminds me of my childhood in California when we used to go down to Rosarita for the weekend. Seeing the waiter make fresh guacamole at the table was a real treat. I think I might have found my new favorite place for the next time I get a craving for good Mexican food.

Nice airy ambiance. The portions are generous. Food runners are impressive with carrying large paries on one arm. I had burrito pastore. A few bites had a sour taste I couldn't place. Waitress didn't have an idea whether that was right or not.

This was my first time visiting and I haven’t even left yet, that’s how important this review was for me. Other Mexican restaurants don’t even come close. I ordered chimichanga texanas and a house margarita and they both were to die for. My wife was blown away as well. They also accommodated my little picky eater, thank you for that. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely love this place and all the other locations. This is now the best sit down Mexican restaurant in the area since opening. I highly suggest the burrito San Jose and the fried ice cream but they have a lot of good options. The service was incredibly fast and super friendly. I'll definitely be back many times.

I was told to review Plaza Azteca, so today I decided to do just that. The staff seemed friendly and attentive, which was a good start.I sat at the bar, and was greeted by Ignacio, who made sure anything I needed was timely provided. The chips and salsa arrived, as with all good Mexican restaurants. The chips were on point, warm and crispy. The salsa was ok, could have used more cilantro and more chili peppers.I ordered the OMG Nachos, which sounded great on the menu, however, it was more like a Mexican Bruschetta. There were individual corn tortilla chips, 9 in total on a plate, with all of the other ingredients stacked on top of each chip. Not exactly what I would call nachos, and the flavor was busy, as there was WAY too much going on to actually say they were good or not.Maybe if there was a pile of chips, and everything on top like every other nachos I've ever had, it might have been different, but as of now, I won't order the OMG Nachos if I ever come back.Next was Carne Asada tacos. The first thing I noticed was how fatty the meat was. I expected some fat, but the first taco I bit into was literally 50% fat (as seen in the picture). The meat had some flavor, but not the citrus that you'd expect. The onion and cilantro was fresh, and the tortillas were soft. The tacos came with black beans and spanish rice. The black beans were pretty good, but the spanish rice was a bit on the bland side, and a tad over cooked.Overall, it wasn't a complete disaster, but far from a great meal.I think Plaza Azteca is trying to appeal to a higher level of patrons, but they fall short on delivery.

Came to eat yesterday. Service and staff were good. I ordered a strawberry frozen margarita and my boyfriend ordered a regular house margarita, both were delicious. For food I ordered the fried rice with shrimp which was yummy but the presentation could be better it looked like they just slapped the food on the plate. Overall good, will come back.

Walked in, the restaurant had no other customers. The staff stared at us blankly before sitting us. They brought out great looking chips and salsa that had to be 99% water. I ordered a margarita,, the waitress looked confused and went to speak with a manager. She came back and said they didn't have that. Ordered a sangria, same thing. Once again, ordered a Heineken... same thing. We left. I won't be going back.

Great place to have margaritas at. Cool atmosphere and can’t forget the delicious food ??

Very nice first experience. Large menu with some unique selections that I will be back to try. We ordered the chicken el pastor tacos and the Baja fish tacos. Both came with black beans and rice which were delicious. The tacos were traditionally prepared and had wonderful flavor. Portions were large. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. Overall a good find. Can't wait to go back. I think I found my summer margaritas spot!

Food was good just a little thrown off that I literally had 9 chips for my nachos for a 12 dollar plate. The flavor was good just wish I had more chips.
