We enjoyed our meal. Lamb korma was good. Poori was what I expected so good. My wife's meat samosa was drier than she liked and looked to me to have been over fried. The goat karahi looked good and the meat was tender.I'm very happy to find a restaurant in the area that has lamb on the menu. Same for poori and a meat samosa. We have looked at many places and only found limited menus. We will be returning to eat there.
Overall I think the food tasted great. Goat Karahi was extremely tender and well seasoned. Both puri and meat samosa were very oily. Meat samosa appeared to be overcooked thereby making the filling taste dry while the outside was dripping with oil. The menu looked impressive as it offered an array of dishes. As I frequently eat at Indian restaurants across the U.S., this restaurant in my opinion offers delicious food albeit too oily thereby clogging up anyone's arteries.
Went on a sat night at 7. Good thing it was not crowded because there was hardly any staff. Food was pretty good, I got a chicken dish, my son loved his chicken also, service not so great (nice but never around) and it took a looong time for the food so just be prepared. The interior of this place needs a serious makeover, very dingy.
Food was ok.. Naan was good but chicken curry was ok.. biryani is not authentic. Its a mix of curry and rice.. so no no for biryani.. this restaurant needs a upgrade as it got old looks of indian restaurants from 2000's (maharaja and elephant photos).. only good thing was it was open till 10.30 pm.. so i went for it otherwise there are other very good options in 2 mile radius..
We ordered the food for take away.. taste and quality of the food was great. Especially the Vegetable Biriyani was awesome!
Ordered lamb biryani for $15 and as soon as I got home I discovered that it was entirely just rice with 2 pieces of lamb. I called them asking about it and was told I was wrong and got yelled at. Never going there again. I'd recommend Star of India or Godavari instead as it's cheaper and higher quality anyways.
Delicious food. A bit of a wait; however, worth it when the food is that great.
Called to place an order, I was told my order would be $12.99. The menu also said the cost of my food is $12.99. However they charged me $15.00.Will not be coming back. Food definitely not worth the price.
Delicious tasting food. Our table had multiple meals.
I was excited to try a new restaurant with friends. We loved our meals. I had chicken tika masala. It was delicious. The service was polite. I recommend Maharaja.
