Always enjoy the plain cheese pizza from Grotto! There isn't any grottos near us so anytime we visit a city which has a grottos we have to stop in. Their traditional cheese pizza is a thin crispy crust with sauce and cheese with an awesome taste. Just have to remind ourselves that this grottos is popular with the University of Delaware crowd at night and the music gets louder as the night goes on!! Will definitely return the next time we are in the area.
my friend had went back into this pizza place after receiving a wristband and was singled out, grabbed and dragged out by Blake the bouncer. When we asked what the issue was there was no explanation and he continued to assault and grab my friend. She now has red bruises on her, I wont be going back to this establishment and Blake the bouncer should be held accountable for assaulting a customer without need.
This place is a catastrophe! surviving on name and the fact that they cater to drunk college kids… refused to dine in because the last two times I was there I more or less had to get all of my table utensils and practically make my own pizza_ the service sucks. I decided to get takeout thinking I would be safe-boy was I wrong! walked into the order area during an Eagles game and the obnoxious sound was blaring so loudly my ears hurt! customers cannot even communicate with the cashier which she openly admitted…are you kidding me? The disgusting bathroom had no way for me to dry my hands, and after waiting a long time for the pizza I asked the manager if it was ready he said no -meanwhile it was sitting on the take-out rack the whole time. Oh and they even forgot to cut the pizza -I guess I should’ve gone in the kitchen and done that myself too. Two words -management overhaul!!!
This place is right on Main Street and next to University of Delaware. They offer a gluten free pizza which my daughter said is the best one she has had at a restaurant. Our pizza was good. Enjoyed the antipasto.

floor was sticky. the waitress was very nice but she seemed to be working alone so the service was slow.

This pizza shop/bar ?? is off the meat rack with entertainment. Go on Fridays or Saturdays and you will enjoy the crowd of college students enjoying themselves. Five Stars
