We called on a Saturday night to see if it was pet friendly and got a welcome on that. They were also closing early (red flag) because it wasn't busy.Plenty of parking, outside seating available and 2 bars inside.Everything was sticky. The menu was simple with some decent value offerings. The draft beer and ales were fresh and cold.Fries with cheese sauce and crab meat are the best quality of the items we ordered. Everything was OK, but attention to detail was lacking. Burger meat and chips tasted stale, Caesar salad (photo); lettuce was fresh, parm was the pre- cut large flake type and had at some point dried out, no black pepper, and it wasn't tossed before service.Fish and chips (photo) has fresh filets, but little or no Batter. ?Lobster roll was traditional with a generous portion of chopped lobster meat and a side of melted butter. We were seated outside and they provided water for the dog.Pavilion seating had nice fresh air and people watching available. Also got an uninvited guest (photo).Would not recommend.
This place rocks. They have a good variety of foods at pretty much any hour of the day and the waitstaff is polite and knowledgeable. I can never remember the name of those tater tot slider things, but those are a good choice if you are looking for something adventurous.I think my favorite thing about it is that the restaurant feels genuine, unlike a lot of the places in Newark these days.
It has been quite a semester! My love and I decided to have a date night here. First off I loved the salad. Second, I wish I knew the band playing because they made the night! So much love and happiness filled the air. The music put everyone in a good mood and the audience ability and willingness to participate with the band made it 1000x more fun. I think we will be coming here again!
Food was so good fresh and not a long wait everything came hot I recommend the skillet meals both are bomb went for brunch the mimosas weren’t bad either! Highly recommend
Was terrific food was great
Horrible brunch. Cold coffee, absent server and disgusting omelets. Why would you put marinated mushrooms in a vegetable omelet? Omelet was so over cooked the bottoms were dark brown, not fluffy and light like a good omelet should be. Coffee was tepid when served and we never saw her again for me to let her know that someone had probably turned off the burner and I was not offered a new coffee. Left a full mug on the table. The “toast” was barely toasted and cold as was the ice butter served with it -as if you could possibly spread cold butter on a cold piece of toast. Our server was never seen again after she dropped our food off for us to let her know that our food was completely inedible and then we were given our check. She did not ask why we did not eat most of our breakfast. We will never come back here for brunch.
Had a great time! Bartender was friendly. Other customers at bar were friendly and good conversation. Food was good and quick to come out. Will be back!
They have various seating areas and we loved the food and service by Sinclair …. They even have a heated area with several high tables. We had the Hangover and The Grain burgers with side substitutes.
Was in a hurry and the server was right on it. We got our food and drinks quickly and allowed us to eat and go within 30 minutes. Definitely better than traditional fast food! Portions were quite large as well.
This is my favorite place to eat, drink and hang out in Newark. The staff here are amazing. All of the staff are extremely attentive, happy, and professional. I highly recommend the craft cocktails and crab nachos. I have brought several friends and family here from out of town and they also enjoyed it. The menu is diverse, features several farm to table fresh items, and the price is great. The restaurant is extremely clean, and the atmosphere is always great.
