Was there about 7pm on 7/1. Ordered scallops home fries and apple sauce. Waited forever for my meal. The table in front of ordered after me and got there food and left before I got mine. The scallops were great but the home fries were cold when they hit the table. Waitress never came back. I just took them home. Never was asked how things were. I will go elsewhere.
We really enjoyed our time dining there. It was a lovely and peaceful atmosphere. The quality of food was EXCELLENT and DELICIOUS. The quantity of it was PLENTIFUL ~ VERY PLENTIFUL!!! In fact, we had to take a good bit home. Thank you, Long Neck Diner!The usual 'chain store/restaurant' can't hold a candle to the quality of taste ~ especially to the fries {oh my goodness, were they delicious}!!! NO WAY! They were awesome ~ even eating them today ~ the day AFTER we visited The Diner. They were still good. I wish I could have those every other day. [Daily would just make me too fat]!Our waitress, Karen, was also great. When I mentioned I THOUGHT THAT I had made an error ordering salad dressing, she went back in her tablet to look and ADMITTED that SHE had grabbed the wrong dressing. How many servers do that anymore?She COULD have told me that I'd made the error and I would have believed her. She didn't do that. I'm quite pleased with, and proud of her ~ and I have never before seen her! This was our very first visit to that Diner. It will NOT, HOWEVER be our last!THE ONE AND ONLY REASON I gave it four (4) ? stars, rather than five (5) ? is because the floor was dirty. I didn't care much for that, but that is the ONE AND ONLY REASON for my four stars rather than five.The carpet appeared clean, but the floor under our table was dirty. I almost asked the waitress if we could have another booth when she seated us, but I didn't. I didn't want to be rude or appear too picky. It wasn't her fault that someone tracked mud in with their shoes.Thank you, Long Neck Diner, for a lovely afternoon and a delicious meal. I hope you do VERY WELL in the future. God bless you!
Been here Nanyang times .Most all of the entrees are very good.Stuffed peppers, turkey and stuffing especially good.Fair pricesGood Service.As close as you can get to a Jersey diner in Delaware.
Honestly the food was good but their prices were too high. And we were trying to find something light because we were going hiking and didn't want to eat a heavy meal but we really couldn't find anything on the menu like that. I finally ordered an egg salad sandwich but even that was WAY too big and came with lettuce, tomatoes and bacon! I'm sure lots of people love bacon on it but I truly don't and I had to pick it all off. Had to take half in the car while we walked. But I will say our waitress was incredibly nice and very accommodating and helped us decide what to have.I will say that although it was too much for us, others with a healthy appetite will definitely not go hungry! They have a HUGE menu and I was drooling over their dessert choices! Wish I could have taken some home...sigh....??
We are local and we love breakfast…diner breakfast. The food was a lot, hot and good!I expect diner food when I go to a diner.That’s what you get, the menu could have chapters, so your choice of foods are endless.
This was an unexpected eating experience. Most of the time diner food is hit or miss but, this one is a winner. Great service, nice, clean restaurant, lots of menu choices and fabulous desserts. The meals are big so my husband and I shared a meal and even with a slice of cake it was very affordable. Would eat there again!
As diners go, this place is setting a standard. Food was delicious, I had the pork chops and a couple sides my friends had many different items from the menu and it was all spot on. I wish I could recall the servers name, she was amazing. She made a quick diner dinner so much better with her friendly helpful demeanor and attentiveness.
3rd visit to the long neck diner. First time was a few months ago, service was good, food was hot and a good value, 2nd trip went bad, poor service and not so good food quality, figured it may of been a bad day so I gave it a 3rd trip!! First of all there was 4 of us..Breakfast, not too difficult one order came out complete, but the meat was burnt and could not get a fork in it, half of my order came out not cooked, I asked for scrambled eggs well done.. close so I could eat but not great. I also asked for onions in my potatoes so they threw a few on top after they were plated, I finished eating then my crispy back on came out not very crispy.. not one of the 4 were complete or cooked correctly, anyway you get the idea, needless to say we will never go back.. worst service and worst food quality.. first visit must of been a fluke!
