Servers were nice enough but nothing special. Same for the food.
Our visit this time was disappointing compared to our previous visits. The entrees came out a few minutes after the appetizer that we hadnât had time to start eating. The whole point of an appetizer is to have something to eat while you wait for your food to arrive. Plus the appetizer order was wrong and we had to wait for the missing item which came out after our meal arrived. Not to mention my son wanted to change the channel on the tv that was at our table and none of the switches worked.
Service was great food was ok. I got the cheese steak and it was just room temperature, would not order it again. Pretzels were great!
Long term patron of this location since they opened. The last couple of years they seem to have struggled with different managers and staffing and the quality and service suffered. I have to say our last few trips in May and June 2022 have been great! The new manager "Adam" is excellent, very attentive, remembered us from our previous visit and checked on us a couple of times during dinner to make sure the service and food was good. Our waitress Paula was excellent! We will certainly make this Green Turtle one of our regular weekly stops again.
My wife got the crab cake sandwich. Just look at this monstrosity. That is unacceptable. The waiter was great in apologizing for the moldy bread and with taking it off our bill, but no one from management came by to apologize. Additionally, my margarita was so-so and tasted salty when I got to the bottom of the glass. I guess this is the standard for The Greene Turtle when you attend on a Sunday afternoon during the off-season for most major sports.
I met with several friends and we had plenty of time to talk and we were not in a noisy atmosphere. We had a good waiter but food was very slow to come out. I realize there are still staffing issues. We would return

Was my first time going there, and was not disappointed. Our food came out fairly quick. I would definitely go back again.
The more I go to the Greene Turtle in Middletown, the more disappointed I become. The food selection is great, but the service is awful. My food was not only cold, my servers never checked on my table or brought us half of what we asked for. The kitchen was also out of the food that we had ordered, and rather then informing us of the shortage after ordering our appetizer, the food was never brought out to us at all, leaving us more hungry to leave the restaurant then before we came. I understand being busy, but if you do not have enough waitstaff, then people should not continued to be seated.
Food is great but service is always extremely slow even if it’s empty. Waiting 5 minutes to get acknowledged at the door. 10 minutes for a drink you order with only 4 other people in the restaurant. Girl manager is awesome though. Extremely sweet and caring
