Placed a simple order of 2 meals and biscuits. Got to Smyrna 30 minutes later to realize the biscuits weren’t in my bag, and my butterfly shrimp were chicken nuggets. Spoke to the manager, Harry who offered to replace the missing items “for free” if I returned. Free? When I already paid for items not received, and gas is $5 per gallon. That actually puts me in the hole. That was the best Harry could do. I accept my part in not checking my bag, but given the simplicity of the order, I didn’t think it was necessary. Wrong! Long story short, everyone makes mistakes, but when it’s not the customer’s fault, customer-convenient options to make it right should be explored, not ONE Popeyes-convenient option.
I need to go here again during normal business hours. I was there a few minutes before they closed and got some pretty bad food. Everything was dry and overcooked. I am pretty sure this is because they weren't making any fresh food due to closing soon, but also feel like they should not have been serving old food.I'll give them another chance.
Not a big fan of Popeyes to begin with, so I ma be a bit biased. But I been here about 3times and each time the chicken they gave me looked old and oily. The customer service is mixed depending on who is at the window, but for the most part not an issue. I don't have too much of an issue with the drive thru time either. It's not the fastest, but you're not there forever either. I guess my real issue is with the chicken not being fresh.
Those chicken nuggets that comes with the kids meal messed my stomach up! The rest of the drink and applesauce that came with it was good. Now I know to only get rice and beans or mac and cheese from there!!
This location wasn't busy but they still managed to get my order wrong and then the chicken turned out super dry this was my only visit so if I have a better experience I'll revise my post
Service can be either really good or really awful. Miscommunication among staff and they’ll tell you to go wait in the parking lot while they forget about you causing you to have to go around again for the second time. It wasn’t even a big order it was simply a chicken sandwich combo
This place had started going downhill fast. They kept getting my order wrong and the people working there were rude. At one point I saw some teenager hurl a trash can out the back door straight into a car in the drive thru...laugh and then shut the door. Another time, I ordered about$150 worth of food for a party and they forgot some of my food and bickered with me about how many sauces I could have. They gave me three. I decided to give it another chance today. I'm happy I did. Whatever you are doing now, please keep it up. Today is April 1st. The gentlemen you had working the drive thru @11 am was polite, professional and courteous. My food was hot and fresh and most importantly my order was correct.Edited May 18, 22Nevermind. They went straight back to being absolutely terrible. I ordered chicken tenders..it looks like they've started cutting the tenders in four pieces before they fry it. I just spent 11.99 on 1.25 pieces of chicken tenders. They could only spare one sauce and no napkins. Your attempt at cutting corners and saving money has now cost you money. I will not spend another dollar here. Also, the owner/operater/manager standing over the workers shoulders is creepy AF! You need to take a course in hospitality.
I love how clean and well kept the restaurant was and the staff was very polite and professional to me also the food was hot fresh and ready fast in a timely manner even tho they were busy they still held it together great experience I will definitely be coming back ??
Ate here twice this week. Chicken and sides were great. Second time chicken was smaller yet still tasted great. Large improvement as the 1st 5 times it was terrible and I drove to Bear DE instead as there chicken is always good. Happy about the improvement as this Popeyes is right behind me 1/4 a mile away. Went there again today chicken was great breast was large what an improvement
Food is fresh. Employees are friendly and helpful. facilities are clean. The best popeyes in New Castle County… actually, the beat chain chicken spot in NCC. And I hesitate to leave this review because it tends not to be too busy; might be because service is so fast though.
