Very friendly staff and a nice selection of craft beers ?. The food wasn’t bad either, good portions.
First State is an awesome addition to the Delaware brewing scene. They are killing it with their hazy IPAs and Double IPAs but I really haven't had a beer from them that I didn't love.Unlike many breweries, First State has a large food menu with not only apps, salads, and sandwiches, but they also have dinner entrees, kids menus and desserts.Tons of parking, huge bar, happy hour, great tacos (which is what we had), great atmosphere- I can go on and on.First State is an easy detour off Route 1 when heading to or from the beaches.Go here, you won't be disappointed.

First rate microbrewery. Upbeat atmosphere, great selection of beers, surprisingly good food menu for a microbrewery. I wish I lived closer!
This place has always been to die for. They have by far the best beer selections, delicious food, a great atmosphere, and to top all that off with the best and most knowledgeable and friendly staff. Truly a great experience every time I go there. Enjoyed a terrific lunch. Food was exceptional. Service topnotch. Matt provided not just great customer service, but gave us a nice education on how the brewery runs. Very clean and welcoming!
Came to dinner with party of 7, service was horrible, wait staff catered to the younger crowd, was asked if we needed salt, pepper or ketchup after we ate our food had to ask for a drink refill of a can of soda, waitress told us we had to wait to place our order as the kitchen was backed up! Like why would you say that….just very disappointed first and last time here!
There has not been 1 thing we've tried from here that we didn't like! Everything is soooo good and the portion size is plenty! We order lunch for the office to pick up and this is what we got (sorry about the pics that were not the most attractive but I didn't want to get into people's food ?). Everybody was SOOOO happy with their meal! And their taproom menu is quite extensive!! Recommended 100% Excellent!!! ????
