I had a wonderful experience recently at the Crooked Hammock restaurant in Lewes Delaware. The employees were very friendly and helpful! Food was pretty good! Great atmosphere!
My family and I had a great time right from the start. The ramp to the upstairs was a pleasant surprise. Our greeting by staff was very warm and welcoming and we all had great views of the water. I honestly couldn't have pictured this place better in my mind. The service was spot on and the food was excellent. I had the Crab Dip appetizer followed by Maui Tacos with fries which were all mouth-watering. This place really knows what they are doing when it comes to making an experience truly one of a kind. I couldn't help stopping by the gift store found on the ground floor for a hat and T-Shirt. My family and I will definitely be back.

Was excited to check this place out since the outdoor area looked very kid friendly. But we were greeted by rude and dismissive hostesses who seemed to not care for our presence. We asked to sit at a picnic table out back, and the host responded with a "no" and walked away. Confused, we went back to ask why, and they didnt seem to care to even look at me. Graham, our waiter turned out to be a little more welcoming and helpful. But still I didn't feel very comfortable there after that initial encounter. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but now after seeing other reviews, it seems to be the general consensus that this place doesn't welcome people of color.
We decided to have a late lunch and cocktails and the Crooked Hammock was perfect for us. The outside seating was cool and comfortable and the food and drinks were very good. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back again!
First time here but definitely not the last! Great food, friendly attentive service. Can't say enough good things. Already planning our next date to go back!!!

Stopped for a beer and lunch. Stout was wonderful- dark and creamy. Husband’s burger was lame. Clearly a frozen patty. Fish sandwich was nice size and very tasty. Fries were good. Flies in the dining room were annoying. Great ambiance but average rating due to issues.
Let's start with the beer. It's good. The food is ok to good, but not great. Additionally, it's overpriced even in this 2022 economy. Portions are solid though. The staff is friendly and efficient. The best part of the Crooked Hammock is the place itself. There is a ton to do, a lot to look at and is family friendly. Worth a visit for sure!
I wanted to try a few different things so, I ordered the feast. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by everything. Cute spot. Nice ambiance. A little pricey.
