I've been to California Tacos a few times now and each time gets better and better!This was the first time I dined in and I had 2 of my Sisters with me.We enjoyed all the food we ordered.Pictured is the 2 shrimp tacos and 1 fish taco that I ordered! Absolutely DELISH!!!The shrimp are cooked to perfection and pop in your mouth when you bite into them. The fish is fried perfectly and the taste is flavorful!As long as this location continues to prepare fantastic food, I'll continue to spend my money.
Best taco spot in Middletown. Great service. Not sure what the other taco snobs are talking about in the reviews. The food is tasty and the prices are fair. The place is clean. I'm there for lunch usually once a week and never got a bad meal.
7.50 for 2 tiny cups of guac. Hot sauce is simply heat. No flavor. Out of large drinks. 1st and last visit I believe.
Tried this place twice only for the fact that I'm a California native who loves SoCal/San Diego/Taco Shop style Mexican food. While their menu items do resemble some of the favorites from southern Cali style taco shops, they dont really come close. I tried the San Diego famous "Carne Asada" burrito. Please note to the owner that those burritos should come full of guac as the "filler" and it should not have to be requested as an extra as well as not be so dry. To be honest, i think Mexican food needs to be left to the Mexicans to make and not a bunch of non Mexican teenagers.
Excellent service and the tacos are amazing! The tacos have a ton of meat and all of the salsas are so fresh! Love this place!

I got the fried fish taco on a soft shell. It's called a GRANDE, but it's very small (approx 6 in) if you're hungry you'll need about 3! $6 bucks each.They have a Taco Tuesday deal as well for $1.50! (Not for signature tacos)He got the tres banditos (dry no sauce)BE PREPARED TO WAIT!From the time we walked in the door to the moment we got our 2 bites of food was 45 min! Ps. We waited in the car for them to open at 4:34pm.Also, make sure your taco comes with salsa if moisture and taste are important to you because it's not included with some dishes. You have to request salsa and cream, no additional charge.Is it really a taco without salsa?!?We were stuck with dry food, like unable to swallow because it was not offered, and we didn't know to ask until we got home and looked at the menu to call (no phone# or address on menu)Not impressed
Tried this place because it's new to Middletown and I support small businesses but the quality of food in not worth the price. If your gonna try the fish taco, I'd skip the red hot sauce because it's all burn with no flavor. The California Burrito is a San Diego classic if it's made right. The fries in my burrito weren't cooked long enough and the steak tasted like an overly boiled roast with no seasoning.
Little pricey for what you get but it was good food
This place is a must. The food is amazing and so consistent. You can eat well and love every minute of it. The vegetarian options are so good I choose them over meat all the time.
