This little place is very different than what I would find in Jersey. It was open when we were starving on 4th of July. The food was good and service, but, it needs some tlc. I would definitely go back there again.
Love the food . It always seems like the tables are needing to be cleaned off. Prices are decent and size if plates are adequate.
This location is fairly normal as Waffle House’s go. Usually the service is pretty decent and food is good.Today irked me. Our waitress saw my group of 3 sit at the high top, and she threw a small fit for whatever reason - threw a rag at the dish area and mean mugged for a bit. Alright, whatever. She comes up to us, tries to wipe the counter but can’t (her words??) so my husband does it for her, she talks the pleasantries, and then starts complaining about her life. Fine, she needs to vent. Then she takes our order, gives it to the cooks…we get our food before our drinks, which I have to request when our food is served, we remind her of our drink order, and when she brings them we have to say it again. Ok, she’s got a lot on her mind. Other than the hair on the first waffle which was remade to barely cooked, the food was delicious, and I go to pay.The cherry is that she scoffed at the tip which was still almost 20%.
Greeted with a cheerful HELLO this morning.We had a great breakfast at this Waffle House. With most places being short staffed… this team ROCKED!!!! Beth was oh so PLEASANT!!!
We go there because my wife loves the sausage gravy. We like everything else we've tried there also.
I came to the Dover Delaware location with my family late trying to find food after being on the highway all day. There were 3 employees working which would not be a problem except that 1 was cooking, 1 was serving and the 3rd a rude young lady with teal and red box braids was standing at the counter with headphones in her ears flirting with a customer at the bar while there were 4 tables needing to be cleared. When the hard working server finally got us sat she was wonderful and apologetic. The cook was wonderful, our server was wonderful. We were in the restaurant approximately an hour and a half and I never saw the third girl leave the fellow she was flirting with to help out. The other 2 were clearly frustrated.If she were my employee she would be let go immediately.
Haven't been there in a while due to the lockdown, however, the quality of the food was what I expected and plenty of it. Kudos for the sausage which has a great flavor.
The customer service was terrible! 2 group of customers were waiting including me and the person that attended us only clean Two table only. when it was our turn to sit down they lady didn’t even say anything because she wasn’t done cleaning the table and jump to handle someone else instead of sitting us down. Why would you jump to another table mean while you sat two other customer down and couldn’t clean our table. I understand it could be busy at time but if you communicate with you’re customer and let them know you’ll be right with them. It was total of 5 workers.
A small place with three booths and some seats at the counter that stays packed early mornings. They move efficiently to seat and wait on you. I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit with a side of hash browns with sautéed onions and jalapeños. My friend got the 2 egg plate w/ bacon, hash browns, and toast. It was all good and the coffee strong . Would go back again.
4/10/22 I was calling to see if they were doing dine in but they aren't answering the phones. Definitely not driving all the way there to find out they aren't.
