It's a small place with pretty solid diner food. Everything is prepared well and cooked to order. Really enjoyed the food once we got it. I think the one hit they took from the pandemic is good service. I believe, similar to most in the area, they are understaffed. The wait staff that served us on my last visit was hard to track down, not attentive, and a slight attitude. We had to flag down others to ask about ordering our food, put in sides and cook preference for our meal (bc the waitress left before getting it), get coffee refills, or get missing items from our order. I will go back and update my review once service improves.
A great place for breakfast. Had the Farmers Omelet which was one of the daily specials and came with home fries. Yum ?
Just had a wonderful breakfast today. Food was excellent. I had chipped beef on toast And ordered a single pancake. Both were good. The pancake was a treat and ate it all. My husband has eggs and sausage links. He loved it as well and even order a side of sausage to take home.
The wait staff was nice and the prices were reasonable, however I ordered the Kansas city panini and it didn't taste good at all. It had a strange chemically taste. I wasn't able to finish it. I also got coleslaw and mashed sweet potatoes and those were good.
Great soups! Fried fish and shrimp was excellent. Fries are perfectly fried. Turkey bacon club is made with fresh Turkey. Breakfast omelets and sausage are delicious. We always return and are never disappointed.
This was my first time here and as usual when checking out a new diner I usually order a pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were exactly what I was expecting, typical diner pancakes. They were pretty good, however the bacon from sight and taste, you could tell it was old and had just been rewarmed over. Like chewing on some leather.
It's a great place to eat. My mom and I usually go often. We switch and each take turns picking up the tab. This restaurant is usually pretty busy, right before Christmas we went in and we had a different waitress than usual we've only had her once before. She seemed to be having an off day, she was rude and seemed to be moving slow. So we decided not to tip her because of her service. We paid for our meal and went to our car in the parking lot. She followed us to our car and asked why we didn't leave her a tip we told her there was no reason because neither of us wanted to sit there and argue. She then continued to get smart mouthed and told us we shouldn't go out to eat if we don't tip and walked away. I called the manager and surprisingly when we walked back in a week later she still was working! (I'm confused why she wasn't fired for harrassing customers!) The waitress we had told us that she told the manager we havent tipped her for 2 or 3 times and we've only had her once before the incident.We went in today and she seated us and practically threw the menus at us and stormed off. There's a VERY thin line between my patience and this waitress. Considering we did nothing wrong and she's acting stuck up. This lady will not be receiving any tips from ME due to her attitude.
We really like eating there occasionally and usually for breakfast. My wife got the Sinach pie and a salad and she really enjoyed her meal. I usually get a breakfast selection but since it was pushing 11am I went for the Classic Italian Sub. The guts of the sub were ok. Only put oil no seasoning(classic and no seasoning) and roll was good enough tasting but was to dense and difficult to eat. Tossed about half of the roll and ate a large part of the meats and cheese w/o bread. Waitress did a pretty good job but the place was busy so some things took a little while to get.
Good food at good prices, what else do you need. This year we didn't cook Thanksgiving dinner since it was just the wife and I, my wife picked up a nice Thanksgiving spread from them and it was really good. They have a good variety of items.
Typically their food is pretty good service is good .they tend to get obviously aggravated if you complain. Wednesday got waffle it was cold so I couldn't put butter on it I just put the syrup on it tried to eat it but it was totally dried out. There pancakes are very good I'll stick to those.
