Been years since I've been here but wanted to take a friend visiting from out of town. The menu is still the same and the food as delicious as I remembered. Unfortunately they are short staffed and there was a wait for everything - being seated, getting waited on because there was only 1 waitress in a room with full tables, waited for food to be served. However, I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant. Just plan on waiting.

Really don’t know why people love this restaurant so much and recommend it. Probably because they never had real good food before and this is what they’ve had to deal with since there’s not many “country eatery/diner” type restaurants around. Small portions of food for a high price. Went for breakfast and it’s extremely pricey for what you get. If the food was good, I wouldn’t mind but the food sucks.Smells musty inside. Nice location but definitely needs better cooks and an updated menu

I love the local restaurants (vs the usual chain restaurants) and thought this local option would be a good one to try before heading over to the casino. We arrived a little before noon after a 1.5 hour drive. The restaurant is quaint, and has a warm, down-home feel. Additionally, they have an extensive menu and serve breakfast all day. I was excited! I ordered a 3-egg omelet and my friend a Monte Cristo. It tasted good going down...but the after affects were not good. Even though both of us ate different menu items, we both didn't feel well while at the casino. And, for me, that night and the day after was not pleasant. I'm not sure if it was the food or something else, but it was enough for me to not go there again, especially since we both were ill. There are a lot of favorable reviews, so maybe our experience is in the minority; but, I would just say "be warned."

Enjoyed two great soups and two great salads. The vegetable soup was rich and filling. The crab soup was loaded with crab and spicy. ? Service was very good.

My family and I had eaten here 4 years ago and it was awful. My dad and I decided to give it another try and the food quality was actually much better. The restaurant was clean, food was good, and our waitress was attentive.

This is my husband's and I favorite little Sunday morning Date Day spot. While we wait on our table( 15-30 minutes); we take in the beautiful scenery of the lake in the back.

First time visiting this restaurant. Will definitely go again. Despite being very busy the wait was tolerable. The staff were friendly and able to answer any questions. Beautiful lakeside view on one side. The omelet was delicious, coffee was good too. Definitely recommend.

Food was good and vegetable soup was excellent but vegetables could have been cut smaller

Busy weekend with DSU Homcoming. Reasonable 1/2 hour wait. Most unpleasant hostess should have stayed home. Not good as the first impression of a restaurant. Food was good and so was our waitress.

First time visit. Short distance off route 13. I had a bowl of chili, which I thought was very flavorful. I also had the chicken salad sandwich that I also enjoyed. I liked that it was not over dressed with mayo. Sorry, no picture of that sandwich. Would recommend both of these items. Almost forgot, the coffee was hot and hit the spot. Enjoy.
