Update: Went for a happy hour goodbye party and they sat us outside as requested and were happy to accomodate extra arrivals. Isaiah and Tim were great in attending our party of 12+ and made the process smooth for ordering as well as just ensuring we were taken care of. The food is still just standard but I will say the service and seating made it worth it. I would recommend going for the outside view and helpful waitstaff if you want a nice place to have a gathering.Seating outside was nice and our waitress was very helpful. The food was just ok especially since it was not hot on arrival.
We really enjoyed our time thereThe food was really good and our waitress was Awesome!!We had a big group and she really did her thing. The next time we're in Dover we will definitely have dinner there. Thanks for the great experienceMcGlynns Pub??❣
So nice! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere and the wait staff. 10/10 would recommend and the view of the lake outside the windows was incredible.
Our party of 6 enjoyed two appetizers and 5 different meal selections and all agreed they were scrumptious! Our server was attentive without hovering, which is always a plus in my book. Good times with good food. A very enjoyable experience.
Orange air hockey puck. No lump all over mixed shreds and filler. First time eating there and my last.
Stopped by with the hubby for dinner. French onion soup was the best I have ever had. Caesar salad was quite tasty. Blackened filet with blue cheese was awesome. Our server, Jolly, was pleasant and attentive. Nice view of the lake from many views. Such a great find, cant wait to return for their specials.
Bad service and communication. Took over 15 min to get glass of vodka for bloody Mary bar. Food took almost 40 min. Server finally said our order was behind a large group. One of us is type 1 diabetic and had taken his shot in anticipation of food being 15-20 min. This caused him to become ill waiting so long to eat. Manager wasn't all that apologetic. I will say they made good by comping the food and providing us a $25 gift card to return, but I won't place my partner in that position again. All it needed was better communication and we could have let them know, but that wait with no explanation is not acceptable.
It has a pretty good atmosphere. With the carved ladies on the walls and banners. Our waiter was really nice and helped me with the drinks and recommended things too.
The Pub has a nice view of the lake from most of the seats, so it is a pretty spot for lunch. Nice menu with a lot of good choices of soups, salads and sandwiches. I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap with chips. It was very good and I liked the chips a lot. Looked like homemade ones and weren't too salty. My husband had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Fries. It was a very large sandwich and the Fries came in a cute little metal holder, which kept them nice and hot. He enjoyed both, but said the sandwich was a little dry. He had asked that the coleslaw be left off, so that might be why it seemed dry to him. Our friend had the salmon sandwich. It came with Fries but she asked if there were any other choices and they said she could have any of the sides listed. She got the broccoli. She enjoyed it a lot, but said it was too much for her to finish, so she took half home. Portions are very generous. The restaurant was very clean. The Staff were all very pleasant and our Server was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other tempting choices. Very nice find.
Always good food at McGlynns. I typically go for lunch. The pretzels with crab & cheese are yummy. Had the fish & chips today. Delicious. Had to ask for tartar sauce. They seemed understaffed. Had to wait to be seated & our sever seemed to have several tables. A nice place to go for a sit down lunch get together.
