Excellent. The French onion soup could have had a bit more sodium, but otherwise great.UPDATE 04/29/22:. Went there last night and had a personal pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. While I could have handled more anchovies, it was decent. We also got a basket of fries and some bruschetta that the table split and they were also decent.
Very open restaurant. I felt that I was safe from covid exposure. They also have a nice room for meetings and parties. In general the food is good. I just do not care for their pizza. It is very sweet. Otherwise food is good.
Unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of Grotto Pizza in the first place, but it was a friend/family get together with 14 people 4 of which are children. We were checked on twice in 2 hours. Multiple orders were not correct and when this was brought up it fell on deaf ears. 2 of the children were mine and drank 2 drinks themselves but their drinks stayed empty for most of the time as well as mine and I'm a person that drinks water and soda fast and often. The drinks are $3.29 for unlimited refills. We were very limited. Yes, $9.87 is not much but a little bit of service was all that was asked. I would understand if the servers were backed up but this was not one of those times.
Best place in Dover to catch a game. Decent priced drinks. Grab a slice if you get hungry. Like other people. Please tell their Corporate to bring the popcorn back. It’s a signature of going to Grotto
My family and myself come here all the time and recently we started getting a new waitress Liz. Let me say, she has made our recent visits outstanding! She is extremely charismatic, funny, accommodating, and all around the most welcoming person we've ever had serve us! Please let her know to keep up the great work :)
The pizza is ok, but the staff was great. They had a fun atmosphere.
I was visiting from Jersey. Never heard of this place but had a serious need for pizza. In a hotel with 3 children they want what they want. It was not a pleasant evening when we opened our pizza to find the sauce added to the top of the pizza after cheese and toppings were added. Children are creatures of habit so u can imagine how disturbed they were to see and taste this. Maybe this is they way pizza is made down there, I don't know but we certainly didn't enjoy it. I want to taste sauce in each bite of pizza. This sauce was only spooned on in certain areas on the pie almost more like a decoration then an ingredient.We also ordered a Stromboli that same evening. I must say it was amazing!!! The size was great for the money and tasted wonderful. I had wished we only ordered a couple of those instead of the pizza fail. If u need Stromboli.... this is your place.
We went to grottos on the 11th for dinner and I believe our servers name was Jordan.So we ordered the sidewinder Fries, 18 wings, a large pizza and a large cheesesteak. Our food ALL came out at one time, even though we ordered the fries and wings as APPETIZERS. The bar drinks we bought took over 10 minutes to come to table even though we were one of the only 3 tables in the ENTIRE store. The LARGE cheesesteak with extra cheese we ordered, came out with THE SKIMPIEST amount of steak. It didnt even cover the entire large sub roll and it had no extra cheese. I told our server we didn't want the cheesesteak because of that. They did remove it from the bill, but our server acted like it was a huge problem; we didn't even touch the cheesesteak mind you. Just looked at it. I was explaining to him what my issue was and why I wanted it removed and he just grabs the plate and walks away while I am in mid sentence. I believe in tipping so he did get his tip, but the service could've been far better than what we received. I do believe from this point forward, we will be visiting the Camden store from now on. Maybe the employees of the younger generation could use a bit more training in customer service or just some training in general.
Stopped in for a quick bite and am glad I did. Pizza was great. Had a half cheese half pepperoni pizza with one of the best sauces on it. Service was excellent. They even have a bar if you want a drink with your pizza. I will definitely be going back. maybe even tomorrow.
Had a great time, bartenders were on mark even though every seat at the bar was taken watching the games. Food came out quick, was hot and good. Wings and pizza, how could you go wrong. We will definitely be back!
