I really really enjoy eating the food from here. We usually do take out. I have tried a lot on their menu and all of it was good! That rarely happens. I am looking forward to trying more.The fried chicken is the best. I've even gotten crispy fried chicken from here.The Mac and cheese, cabbage, collard greens, yams, potato salad, fried fish, wing dings, chocolate cake, sweet potato pie , banana pudding was all good. I have not liked anything as of yet. I will say be prepared to wait for your food, as I believe the fried chicken it's cooked to order, so don't be impatient.
Was one of those days when you don’t feel like cooking. Started to order from another nearby restaurant, but then remembered seeing an article (forgot where) about a restaurant called ‘Big Daddy’s’ that was nearby. Long story short…the food was GOOD!! Whitings, Collard Greens and Potato Salad….On Point!So good?
Let's start with how ALL around amazing my encounter with Big Daddy's Soul Food is !!!! Baby when I called the women was so nice and personable just simply a pleasure to speak with. Then let's talk about how delicious the food was and such a great portion of food was given definitely get ya belly full and money's worth. I will be a regular from here on out. Thank you ?
Delicious Soul Food. Once a week I pick up a medium whiting fish platter. I like it cooked well done, crispy crunchy. My sides are collard greens with mac and cheese. Everything is delicious with tasty seasoning with every bite. The platters are a generous size.
The food was FANTASTIC! I bought 4 Tilapia dinners mac and cheese and yam on 3 and beans and rice, I got the catfish steamed cabbage and potato salad! OMG JUST REALLY GOOD! GREAT SERVICE AND VERY CLEAN RESTAURANT! I can't wait to go back in VA right now.
We ordered thru Grubhub. The chicken was so warm you would think it just came out of the pan. Delicious! Order the extra large. Green beans had so much flavor. Plenty of ketchup and hot sauce. The fries and onion rings were great! We are from North Carolina and we are here for the NASCAR RACE. If you like good country cooking you need to eat here! We will be eating here again before we go home!
Tried the streamed cabbage.. It is spicy. My granddaughter loved it. Cost $5.00 good size serving..Very friendly. Order completed quickly.Tables outside are nice for the warm weather coming soon.
Best soul food I've had in a while. The women in the front was very nice and personable. Looks like she was cooking too.I got the beef ribs which fell right off the bone. Loved the baked mac and cheese as well as the potato salad. The container definitely weighed over 3+ lbs.Definitely coming back soon on my lunch break.
I have had many dinners from Big Daddy's Soul Food restaurant and I can not find any that I have not enjoyed immensely. It is truly my pleasure going there to enjoy the food there.
