We have tried this restaurant a few times before but the last visit was very unfortunate. We decided to dine in instead of taking out. Me and my husband ended up with stomach viruses but it hit my husband harder where he ended up having to get IV therapy for severe dehydration for four days of constant diarrhea. Looking back after the fact..we did notice that regardless of the business, covers were off the serving areas, therefore constant food exposure, you didn't see any steam so food was not properly kept at required food temperature, and not to mention the uncleanness. Definitely do not recommend this place!!
The food is good and a little spicy. The holiday is very tasty but it’s a little too spicy for small kids in my opinion. The plantains are generally firm and not too sweet and they are never overcooked. If you don’t like firm plantains then I would skip this side. It can be a bit challenging to get a parking space and the parking lot is shaped awkwardly but people make it work.
Ordered from here for the first time and I totally love their food. Everything here taste amazing and they have a wonderful menu selection. I strongly recommend giving this place a try when you can .
The food stantard has deteriorated. The suya meat is as strong as a rock and so is the fried and jollof rice. Wasted $63 and had to throw almost everything away
I have eaten here several times. I just recently had the yam porridge and spinach. One of the best Nigerian restaurants in the DMV area. I recommend this place if you like or want to try Nigerian food!
I would just skip this place if I were you. I ordered through Uber Eats and with that you have more than enough time to get someone's order correct. I asked for suya, jollof rice, Fufu, and Engusi. They gave me jollof rice and what looks like a bowl of some kind of beef which was mainly bones smothered in peppers, and Engusi. The jollof rice was not authentic or can even be considered jollof rice it was more like Spanish rice they tried to throw a little pepper on and it still wasn't spicy. Like I said the beef had no meat on it it was just bones. I don't even know what kind of beef it was and the Engusi tastes like air it has no flavor whatsoever. These people are an embarrassment and a joke to African cuisine. Then the reviews about roaches the way the building looks this place needs to be shut down. As someone who has worked in restaurants for years and is kitchen management certified the health inspector should have been called a very long time ago as well as the Better Business Bureau
The goat meat was nasty, the fufu was nasty, egusi soup was nasty, I’ve have been eating here for a long time now and this was the be far the worst order ever, the goat meat was spoiled and tasted like it was sirrig
These place is horrible i went to eat my chicken and it’s leaking blood. It was halfway cooked I could have gotten really sick
believe the reviews. not worth it at all. the fufu is not even good.
This restaurant gave the opportunity to each original naija jollof. Loved it
