we were at the Fairmont Hotel for 5 nights and we are not big breakfast people, in iew that the hotel charged 30USD per person every morning for a buffet we tried the Café for smaller things.. it was fresh tasty and delicious. except on weekends the place open early and is really convenient.. in an area with so little choice we felt lucky we found it! Bagels are yummy and eggs preparation too.
Best breakfast sandwich I've had in awhile. The scrambled egg was really scrambled, not a variation of a fried egg, (which is also an option), lots of choices for cheese and meat additions.Very pleasant, friendly, efficient staff. Seating for about 25 people. Lots of s ack foods available.
Such good food, amazing drinks, and a reasonable price. Definitely a great place to grab lunch between classes
A great place for this TEXAN...loved it! Best veggie omelette I’ve ever eaten! I highly recommend this place
We used the Uptowner cafe several times. Each time we were greeted with a smile and friendly service. The sandwiches are made for you there and then and you have a choice of different types of breads, there is also a good selection of cakes and biscuits(cookies). There is also a well stocked salad bar which is self service along with a good display of crisps, nuts and large chioice of bottled water & flavoured drinks
Cute little spot. Kind of bland looks wise but it's discretely in the corner and their food is alright. I loved their pomegranate iced tea. Staff is friendly and always smiling. I went there a little later in the evening but still got approached immediately.
Close to a number of hotels and a great option for an inexpensive breakfast. All cooked or made fresh to order. Salad and fruit bar is a bonus.
We sampled this cafe for both breakfast and lunch and were delighted by the quality of the food for such a good price. Plenty of choice for breakfast which was cooked while we waited. Superb sandwiches for lunch which again were made freshly.Staff were always welcoming. Obviously used by locals as well as tourists.
Stayed in a local hotel for three nights but had breakfast in the cafe every morning. Quite basic but really good value which set us up for the day. Inexpensive. Highly recommend.
This is a small place, but for what it is, which is a fast, inexpensive cafe, it is excellent. I had a sausage and egg breakfast, and I watched the cook break the eggs into the skillet, so they were freshly cooked. Everything was done very efficiently, the sandwich was very tasty and my wife's pastry was also very good, as was the coffee. We had breakfast within 5 minutes of ordering and both of us ate for about $12, which is unbelievable in Washington, D.C. Service was very friendly and courteous. Great place!
