Must stop for breakfast
Food was great but super heavy for brunch. Service was good when you got it but our server was really inattentive
We had a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end. Our wine was excellent as were our entrees. The chicken Parm was exceptional, and the Basque burned cheesecake is absolutely worth every calorie. Our waiter was knowledgeable and engaging (we loved him!) and all the staff was attentive. We will be going back as soon as we can for more!
I was impressed with something’s and it lacked in others.I came here because it was on the Michelin list. Cornbread is fantastic. I would go back alone for that. The pot pie poppers are also good. Something different on diner style food. Corn crab fritters were good, but similar to other places. My husband ordered the Steak Frites and I ordered the meatloaf. My husbands dish was very good. It had great flavor and the freshness from the chimichurri was wonderful. The meatloaf on the other hand was nothing exciting or new. I thought for a new take on diner food this might be something wildly different and it was just a basic choice. That could be poor picking on my part. The brussel sprouts had a very weird cinnamon flavor to them. My husband and I both didn’t like them at all. The mashed potatoes however made up for it. Dessert was delicious. Only gripe is the jello around the carrot cake. The cake itself is good, but that orange jello not so much. The German chocolate cake was fantastic. I’d go back, but I wouldn’t choose the following stuff listed above. I should also mention, our one server was serving the entire area so refills on drinks didn’t happen pretty much at all.
We had buttermilk pancake, corned beef hash, cappuccino and rise & shine. All delicious! The customer service and server were really nice. Overall,we were satisfied and will be back again to try other menu!
I took a Lyft from my hotel to enjoy brunch here by myself. The staff was friendly and I ordered the loaded biscuits and a coffee and it was amazing!
Unconventional diner dishes but delicious flavors. Everything I’ve tried here has hit and the restaurant itself is a well oiled machine. Highly recommend if you find yourself in the area.Really enjoyed the Crab Fritters and Fried Chicken
Work friends…. Has JAS great meal. Great friends…. Cornbread was unique and entire menu was unique . Menu options, were 100% exceptional
Had dinner at this restaurant based on review from Tom in Washington Post. And it was absolutely delicious. The menu has excellent items from vegetarian to chicken and seafood. The appetizers are not to be missed. We order Kale Nachos and Pot Pie Poppers. The Kale Nachos are not fried but roasted and there was not oil. Pot Pie Poppers are bit sized morsels of pot pie ingredients on a bed of diced cabbage. For main entree we ordered Caribbean Shrimp and Grits and Maxi-Cali Chili with Chicken added, otherwise it is a vegetarian dish. The grits were super creamy, shrimps were excellent along with chicken sausage. The chili was a hearty bowl of been chili with chunks of chicken, sliced avocado, tomato broth topped with mexican chips. Perfect for a cold weather treat. For dessert we ordered Mocha Sundae. It came in a huge coffee cup with nuts brownie at the bottom, topped with whipped cream, enough for two. One minor complaint about the Kale Nachos. It was topped with a delicious sauce but the sauce did not penetrate all the layers of nachos. Hence the nachos at the bottom were too dry to eat, they kind of stuck to your palette. One suggestion is to drizzle the sauce in multiple layers of nachos so that it reaches all way to bottom. Other wise a very delicious and memorable meal. Will visit again to try other things on the menu.
Awesome food and a fantastic staff!
