For me it's not the best place to dine at but I go there for the catfish. It's the only place I have found that serves good fried catfish.
Slow service for busy Sunday brunch.
It was the... Best. I felt right down home!!! Thank you.. Because there's no place...like...
The more I visit DC the more I become familiar with places that tourists have not found, places where people from the neighborhood eat. Torrie's is one of those places. Such a gentle ambiance. Good food. We talked and ate and never felt rushed. And the value! Three people, full breakfasts, with coffee/tea. Under $25. Incredible. Enjoyed it very much. Hope to return.
I have never been to this restaurant but any place that gives out a free meal on Christmas get five stars from me!
What a wonderful place to sit down and have some good old soul food. I may come back today for that dressing.
Best soul food in DC!
Wish I could give them no stars.
First time I went to this location they did not have any grease for the fish. I was highly upset because that was my main reason for going. I went back later in the week because they had a sale and also because I had already purchased a Groupon for this location and I was looking forward to it. Food was mediocre and I'm not interested in returning.
Torrie's is a Southern diner with great food and slow service. We go for breakfast and usually get crab cakes or a pork chop to take home. Did just that yesterday.
