Terrible service by the receptionist who is always on her personal phone instead of seating customers! Her attitude is so bad too! She acts as if we are begging her to eat here. Also, the staff hovers and watches you constantly. The environment is just not great! The food on the other hand is good! The stars are just for the food. We will not be going back and we encourage you all to try somewhere else! So many places taste just as good plus better service and environment!

Since we no longer live in Washington DC, we always make eating at Toki Underground one of our top priorities. We were excited to learn they now offer reservations. Absolutely my favorite place to eat in DC. The food is delicious and super consistent. The staff is next level. My wife mentioned we had our first date ten years ago at Toki, and the staff made us feel like a million dollars. I can’t say thank you enough. We look forward to our next visit.

Delicious! Vegan options available (vegan dumplings) and also amazing cauliflower bao. We also ordered the full chicken bao and the chicken thigh in eel sauce-- both amazing. Both bao had good spice and left your lips a little tingly. The chicken thigh was cooked so well and the skin made it taste like it was wrapped in bacon??? We got takeout and it was still good when it got home. Can't wait to go back!!

Wow, what a fantastic experience. The vibe of this place is extremely inclusive and upbeat. Great music and close proximity bar seating makes you feel like you’re at lunch with a bunch of friends. The servers and staff were kind and attentive; a special shout-out to Michael for his service and recommendation of the Fuyu Mizunara whisky. The classic ramen seemed like the go-to menu choice and for good reason, the pork was literally melt-in-your-mouth tender. You definitely need reservations, and now I can see why this place is always packed. We’ll be back!

Here lies an authentic Japanese Raman bar, hidden right in the heart of H Street. You can find some of the best ramen here, and it's a huge bonus that there are gluten-free options. This place is a must! Recommend advance reservations, since it is quite popular. It's places like this that make me never want to leave the city. Fantastic!

Very cool “speakeasy-esque” restaurant! My husband and I went for our anniversary and would recommend.

Absolutely delicious and such a cool vibe inside! I had the Toki Classic and highly recommend! The place is upstairs and small, so you’re sitting close next to other people along the edge of the room and there is alway late 2000s music playing! Definitely a great date spot, might not be great for more than two people. Make a reservation ahead of time. A must visit place for Ramen in DC!!

Nayeli's: honestly if you are going to try ramen for the first time ever, this is the place to go. I got the kimchi ramen, it has a spicy flavor to it but its not so spicy. it was still very good because it felt like the spiciness was very well balanced out. The broth is thick which makes it even better. The noodles are so good, its just an amazing place to get ramen. My bf and I then decided to get the fried chicken steamed buns. It was sooooo gooooddddddd!! the buns were so soft and the chicken had so much flavor. I would dip my bun in my broth and it tasted so good like that as well. The place is a bit cramped but its not bad at all. It has a nice bar theme to it. The decorations were cute as well.Matthew's: All I need to say is, best ramen place in D.C, and possibly in the whole DMV itself. No overexaggeration, all truth. 100%. Also tried the fried chicken steamed buns and those were amazing too. I got the Tonkotsu Tsukumen that comes with the broth on the side. Broth was flavorful and tasted good, so good that you wanna drink the whole damn bowl. Best ramen.

Great place, great service, and delicious food. It's very tight and seating is limited, so there's a time limit on your visit. My friend, who visited Japan, noted the food was authentic and so was the vibe, for the most part. One thing that I didn't like was the volume of the music. In such a tiny place, it felt more like a club than a dinner spot. And if you don't like rap, you might not enjoy your time there.

Such a cute little restaurant! The best ramen in DMV. Get a reservation if you plan on coming here because in the evening it usually fills up and there aren’t many seats. Drinks are good. They kick you out after a certain amount of time but it’s worth it.
