The food was under cooked and overall not good. Great ambiance but most of the servers had attitudes. It could be because it was so busy.
I made a last minute reservation for my husbandâs birthday and I must say, The Point was the perfect selection to celebrate! The drinks, the food, and ambiance was in absolute alignment. We had a few of the specialty cocktails: Blueberry Bourbon Basil Smash, the âPunchâ, and the Elderflower Cosmo. All very tasty and well worth the price. We had sushi, calamari, mussels (YUM!), the ravioli is super fresh, grilled shrimp, and a banana split to end the night. If you can sit outside near the railing, do it! We had a great view of the Potomac during sunset. Watching the boats go past and the planes coming in were a nice treat.
Wait staff kept forgetting our table.
Great view. Not great service. David was nice but very forgetful. Why assign a brand new waiter to a table of 8? We had to go to the bar and buy our iwn drinks (as opposed to ordering from the table). He didn't separate each order, although asked at the beginning. Made me do it. Had extra items on our bill that wasnot ours but manager was nice about it. Everyone is hurting for staff. Really nice restaurant and the food was good.
If visiting DC, must come to The Point. If you come on a weekend, I recommend early reservations. Can get very crowded and busy.

Visually appealing space, and I'd look forward to returning to sit outside next time. Really nice view of the marina and water. Food was good. I'd somehow envisioned the crab doughnut to be more amazing than it was - but I did eat it all!
Went for a late lunch on a summer Wednesday so it was not crowded. The decor / ambience was great. The restaurant was clean including the bathroom. The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The waitress was nice and attentive. They nailed it. Will return.
Food took forever. For a salad and shrimp roll it took over an hour after we ordered. Food was adequate, nothing special.
