A warm and relaxed place where culinary artists skillfully transform foraged and locally sourced ingredients into edible masterpieces. The finished product unfolds course upon course like symphonic movements, building on a theme, revisiting subtle refrains, interposing cleaver variations, and culminating in a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime edible aesthetic experience!

The food was outstanding. You choose from a 4 gang menue. All dishes were special and had spectacular taste surprises. The wines are mainly from Europe which is a reduction of 1 star for me. As the quality was okay but not what Europe can offer. Same with the Amaro to finish, was good quality but the price would have offered the expectation much hihgher. Tip check the Amaro from Nonino.

The Dabney thinks too highly of itself. We’re not as price sensitive as we should be, but our recent dinner for two, with tip, was over $450. That did include a couple drinks (modest pours) and a delicious 2018 Pattes Loup Chablis ($120, about 3X the average retail price), but very modest decor, no white table cloths, and rather mechanical service. The open kitchen with large wood-fired grilling is impressive and produced the high point of the evening: “Ember Roasted Carrots (poached in apple cider, we were told), Ricotta, Smoked Honey and Chili Crunch”. If only, the music continued. But, unfortunately, the $95 prix fixe entrees disappointed. The “Golden Tilefish” lacked a voice and the “Grilled Amish Chicken” would have disappointed the Amish. The daily typeset menu is impressive and wonderful in hand. Unfortunately, we won’t be holding it again.

Overall great experience! Staff were very friendly, the food fantastic, great selection of drinks too! Definitely a place to go back to.Note: Do make reservations prior, bar seats are not first come first serve - it was an hour wait.

If you want to experience flavours that are sourced from seasonal and organic farms, cooked by chefs who temper heat from hot coals, the Dabney delivers this and more. The staff are so passionate and demonstrate this when they explain how the meals are prepared and where the ingredients are sources. One price for 4 dishes , great value for the quality of meals you have. All dishes were delicious.

A great venue. You got 3 things as an amuse bouche - the tuna was divine. You then chose from menu your starter main and dessert. It was really terrifically presented and tasted great. The staff were also very pleasant. I liked the open kitchen so you could see the chefs cooking.

I thought I had raved about the Dabney previously but looks like I forgot to review in the past. Pre-COVID, I would have given 5 stars as I frequented often. Went back in January and although the service and cocktails were on point, the food fell disappointingly flat. Too many other options to replace with, particularly at that price point.

We walked in and we’re thankful to be able to have the choice of the fixed or a la carte. We opted to order from the menu. Warning: portions are really small, so be prepared to order a lot or don’t come super hungry. We joked you get but a dab of food (a La carte at least) at The Dabney, but it’s a tasty dab! Some highlights were hen of the woods, scallops, and the wild meringue desert. But I think the dark chocolate gelato could be darker and richer. Cocktails were interesting but I didn’t find them that interesting in terms of depth/layers of flavor. Really nice staff and positive experience, but a star off because my expectations (with the star) were quite high!

Truly a great meal. The menu changes often, but if the scallops are available as a snack, get them. The service was great and the whole experience was just wonderful.

Went for the Valentine's Day special with my boyfriend. The first course was good, but then it went downhill from there. Service was nice as expected, but the food just tasted BAD. THEN THE NEXT DAY WE ENDED UP GETTING FOOD Poisoning. (They might have been good pre-covid, but they clearly had gone downhill from our visit) I tried to call them to explain my experience and see about a partial refund and they refused. Do yourself a favor and go to Cranes in Penn Quarter. Food and overall experience is WAY better, and you won't feel bad for leaving your pet at home.
