One of the best burgers from D.C.
Enjoyed a really great lunch here today.I started with their clam chowder which was really well balanced in terms of flavors and not too heavy. I then had a kale salad with a light vinaigrette to cleanse my palette (and guilt) for what was to come next.The Capital burger, the restaurant's eponymous featured dish, is superb. It's a French onion-style take on a classic burger: caramelized onions, Wisconsin Grand Cru Gruyère, and shallot aioli on an overly generous 8 oz patty.Last, I had to try a taste of one of their spiked shakes. I let it be the dealer's choice and they served me a delicious Irish whiskey shake, made with Jameson's, Kahlua, Bailey's, and Kona dust. It was definitely worth the try, quite heavenly but surprisingly not too sweet.Service was great, very polished and friendly. Decor was nice too. Their bathroom needs work though..Definitely recommended, even if for the burger alone.
Omg truly worth the visit service and food was definitely 5/5!! Drinks were just as good! I would come back if had more time!!
Fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive and the burgers were formidable! Great accompaniment of cheesy fries and there was no room left for dessert. Would definitely recommend and revisit if we’re ever back in DC.
Stopped in at the bar for happy hour. Had some great sliders and clam chowder. Great beer and great service!
elicious Food ! I had the Capital burger and the coconut cream pie jar. Both were amazing. I upgraded my fries to the smoked Gouda and they were some of the best cheese fries ever. Service was great and the prices were reasonable! Would definitely go back !!
Hearty foods with decent, healthy-ish options. Don't bother with breakfast though, way over-priced for what you get.The burgers are priced for the area, not a bargain, but I care more for quality than "value". The burgers are juicy and messy, and that's what makes them delicious! A salad is a normal option to fries and a perfect compliment to the juicy burger - the avocado was a special request on my part, though I recommend you ask for it too.Waitstaff are eager and competent, if young and inexperienced.I'd give them 5 stars but for their breakfast.
Very nice place. The burger is awesome. Stuff is so polite. I like ower guy with beard who took our order. Cracking a good jokes.He offered to bring separate bills. Such a good as I don't need share equal as I order less hahaha. Anyway good place to have a good food.
Beef is perfectly cooked. The top bun has crispy thin layer which is really nice. The taste of their caramelized onion is pretty unique. Service is superb.
Great atmosphere but pricey food.Burgers were soso, appetizers were more delicious. My server wasn't attentive either.I'm only giving it 4 stars because of the atmosphere at the restaurant.They have variety of drinks menu. Other than burger, its only salad and other sandwiches.Pickles were delicious by the way.
