Ended up unexpectedly alone in D.C. on Wednesday due to a flight cancelation. After at least 6 hours of walking all over D.C. lost, but having the best time, I stopped here and I’m so glad I did. The staff made this N.H. girl feel so welcomed….like an old friend. They were also so kind to charge my phone so I wouldn’t be lost in a city I did not know. I loved their iced matcha (the best I’ve ever had) and the sweet potato with miso hit the spot. I was surprised it was served cold because I’ve never seen them served this way, but I LOVED it so much I plan to prepare them this way at home. I had an awesome unforgettable day alone in D.C. and Teaism Penn Quarter was a big part of my experience. I can’t wait to come back to spend more time seeing the sights and to visit my Teaism friends.
Great place for a breakfast or lunch!Everything was yum and fresh. Also what a quick service! We waited for our food for less than 10 minutes on a busy Sunday.I believe they don't make reservation but we had no problem with getting a table during lunch time.
Excellent shop. I ordered a chicken sandwich and that was really good. Also ordered mango lassi and it was made really well. There were plenty of options on the menu. The staff got me the food quick and were friendly. Would recommend stopping by here for some food before you visit the museums.
Stopped in for a quick snack after visiting the National Gallery of Art. Ordered a traditional bubble tea and a Salty Oat cookie (like an oatmeal raisin). Both were excellent. The rest of the menu looked fun. There are some sandwiches and bento boxes. Want to come back!
Five stars. Great food plenty of options. My friend was with me, a Teaism fan for many years and she noticed a few things missing from the menu recently. The French toast is awesome, just awesome. Tea selection is obviously great. Outdoor seating is limited, but inside there are two levels of seating. Vegetable kabobs are good. Food is prepared quickly so don't be afraid to wait in line to order. Great vegetarian options. Enjoy
We ordered two of the bento boxes and some hot teas. The portions looked small at first but they turned out to be the perfect size. I highly recommend the grilled chicken! It's also a great place to just sit and recharge - literally, they've got outlets by all window seats.
Creative Asian food. Best assortment of herbal teas ever. Even boba! Plenty of seating. Masks required, so it felt safer than many other places in DC. Glad it survived.
The Udon soup was pretty good and portion size was generous. The grilled chicken bento box, however, was not very good. The grilled chicken had a heavy charcoal flavor and was overcooked. The sauces atop the veggies were very one note and detracted from the dish. The dining room is small and cozy (downstairs was closed) and this makes for a nice ambiance for a date over tea or coffee, but skip the food.
I loved this little quick service restaurant. It was between the National Mall and our hotel, so it was easy to stop there after a day of touring museums. I'm so glad we found it because it was affordable and had healthy choices for vegans. We loved it so much that we ate there 4 times during our 12 day trip! My favorite thing was the Beet Patty Bento ($15) with a bean & quinoa patty, steamed broccoli with orange dressing, and a sweet potato drizzled with miso sauce. For dessert they had vegan ginger scones. So yummy! It's hard to eat healthy and on a budget when on vacation so this was the perfect place!
Vegan ginger scones, beet burger, salmon binto box, and berry tea....drooling. This is a wonderful place to eat, relax, and get out of the cold- right by the Archives metro stop. The lady that works the cash register knows the menu inside and out. She's worked there for years and is super kind. The first floor is wheel chair accessible, including the bathroom. The basement is not.
