This is a neutral rating of a 3 — some stuff is great. I would go back. They have great frozen margaritas (very strong — watch out). They don’t have traditional tomato salsa and I miss it when it’s absent. For some reason the chips feel too dry with the salsa they provide. Tacos are tasty, including quesobirria. The outdoor space is nice.
Cute little eatery that caught my attention as I passed by and I was really craving tacos. The two stars do not reflect the service which was good despite the server getting my order not as I asked, the stars reflect on the food. The protein (beef, chicken and chorizo) in the tacos was very bland, totally flavorless and very dry. The tortillas were definitely not fresh and the dish presentation left much to be desired. La Taqueria Al Lado needs to own up to its name.
Incredible tacos and drinks!! A very casual spot that is a must try for authentic tacos. Was able to get a table on a Thursday evening without reservationsHighly recommend watermelon cocktail. Made with fresh juice and mezcal. Wow!
Great tacos
I ordered food for delivery. It was an hour late, cold and missing half the order. When I called the restaurant to complain, the man answering the phone took a message for the manager to return my call. He or she never did. Horrific service for a place that used to have promise. This shining star burned.
Drinks are good,decent priced and you can tell it has liquor in it. U can also customize the alcohol to your preference in your drink. It was my first time having a birria taco, it was good. I heard good things about this place. I believe it’s more of a summer time vibe place VS in March while it’s still a lil chilly.

I have to admit that the tacos that I had tried in DC did not excite me. I didn't see the point in paying $4 or $5 for that dish. The range of tacos offered by this place has made me change my mind. If you like tacos... you can't miss their tacos SUADERO, simply delicious.
Damn, these tacos are good. Ingredients are super fresh and the service is excellent. All the pork tacos are to die-for, the vegan and fish, not so much. The inside-outside counter makes for a perfect space to grab drinks with a friend and the pick-your-own-liquor cocktail menu lets you accompany tacos with a great drink that doesn't break the bank. An AdMo cheap eat for the books!
We were visiting some friends in DC and were starving after parking the car. Our friend recommended this taqueria and they could not have been more correct. The vibe inside is bright and fun with beautiful art adorning the walls. There are two seating areas, one inside and the other is semi-open air.We ordered margaritas, one spicy and the other frozen, that were perfect for the hot summer day. The difference between tacos was the protein present. I went with two different styles of pork and one beef. All of them were delicious and gave us the fuel for a whole lot of walking.
