So happy to hear ???that Jazz Music is back at Takoma Station Tavern on Saturday Nights. I saw the amazing Antonio Parker ??? Jazz Quartet. Incredible raw emotions! Jazz that moves your soul.The drinks are ?????? good and so are the Mombo Sauce Wings ???

Not at all happy overall with my experience. My rating is 1-1/2 stars, not 2... and that's for the fries ?1. I just wanted Wings, shrimp and fries - - wanted to place an order by phone and pick it up around 5:30 before it got busy. There was no way to reach someone directly by phone - no 'press zero' option. I had to go in.2. Even though they have 'Add shrimp' as a menu option for Caesar salad, I could not add shrimp to my Charlie Parker basket.The manager tried to mansplain why that was the case, but as with all mansplanations, it made no sense at all. He did agree to discuss it with the owners. ?3. Lastly, the old menu is on the website with the price of $12 for what I wanted, and I had to twist the manager's arm to get him to honor that price. In the end, he gave me the $3 difference between what the register rang and what the online menu showed as the price, but having to twist his arm to honor the price dampened the experience.4. What ruined the experience completely was that the wings were burnt. That's my fault though; I saw that before I left, but I didn't have any fight left in me. I had just finished an acupuncture treatment and was floating and didn't want to ruin my acupuncture high. I reasoned that maybe it was time to change the oil, but the wings would probably taste good.Once I got home, I found the wings to be tolerable - - with hot sauce on them - - and the fries were as good as they've been on past visits.Will I travel the distance for more of their wings? Nope, probably not. My acupuncturist gave me the name of two places that serve soul food. I think I'll try those instead.
Drinks and food subpar, music fabulous, we had a very nice time.
Been going here for years. Went recently on a Friday night and it was great. Nice crowd, great music and a mature setting. Would recommend to anyone. Be advised parking will be a challenge.
Great atmosphere to watch games and place bets. Wings were fantastic and service was friendly and quick. No complaints.
The Jazz there the night I attended wa for a mature appreciative Jazz audience. This was a breath of fresh air!
