We used to come here regularly but havenât been in a while. We had the chefs tasting platter, it was eh. Not very flavorful. Did not taste like sushi quality fish. We also had a tuna roll & the Ishiyaki prime beef. The tuna was bland, the hot stone beeef was the best thing we dined on. There are so many better places around, I donât see us going back. I would prefer to pay more and have better quality food
Great food great service will return
stick with the specialty rolls, those are great on taste and value. Everything else was pretty underwhelming. Pros: Specialties rolls, kind and helpful staff, clean restaurant. Cons: weird and loud music, poorly organized and functioning mobile menu, food not specialty rolls just wasn't that great. We may or may not be back.
Sushi Hachi is a small quaint restaurant! It is nicely setup with good food and great service. A nice touch to get started were the compressed towels that rapidly expand when adding water. There is a small tray with the compressed towel and water...cute detail to wipe your hands as you sit down at the table. The sushi is good but not great. The price is on the higher side considering the quality. Nice atmosphere and great service making the whole experience a good one.
One of the BEST sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything was great - from the restaurant decor, ambiance and vibe to the food and drinks. Friendly attentive staff.LOVED the ‘Dreams Come True’ cocktail. Ordered a selection of nigiri, sashimi and the hachi roll. Everything was delicious. We were able to relax and take our time.HIGHLY recommend
The food was excellent. The experience was meh. You have to scan a barcode, then order and pay online. Ordering sushi on my phone was awkward. Since the whole table places their order on a single device, they have no idea who is supposed to get which item, so plates are mixed up. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying. They also brought everything out way too fast. Before we knew it we had soup bowls, an appetizer plate, and the main plates cluttering the table. Let me finish my delicious miso soup, man.
Really just average food. Tempura was sufficient, but lacked a little salt and sweetness in the sauce. Sushi rolls were skimpy with the rice and small. Ngiri was really thinly sliced. The busboy came to remove dishes *the instant* a plate was empty - really annoying. Come for dinner - it will be ok. But just ok.
It was all fine. Very expensive. $5 for miso soup seems excessive to me.
This is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in navy yard, The food is always fantastic. Servers are also great and always.
Great food, very reasonable prices, friendly service!
