Best sushi I’ve had in DC. Great atmosphere, BYOB, and extremely friendly staff. This is the perfect date spot! We came here two nights in a row because we liked it so much!
Great omakase experience! Great value and fresh ingredients. We were lucky enough to watch our nigiri being made which made it that much more fun. Worth a visit, we’ll definitely be coming back - hidden gem!
My favorite place to get sushi in DC. It is decently priced and so easy to miss if you just walk by. Super low key place, but their omakase is my go to for small celebrations and I get takeout when I have sushi cravings. The owner/manager is this super friendly Turkish gentleman. His father in law (Japanese) is the main chef. They've opened up other locations on Conneticut and in Chinatown (under different names), but this spot on the hill is my fav. Have been coming back for years and I really hope they stay open with the same quality for years to come!
I started getting really grossed out in the middle of eating the sushi. The fish is low quality and it honestly doesn’t taste good. A few pieces of the yellowtail were dark brown/purple and I couldn’t eat anymore after noticing that. Hoping I don’t get sick off this. I let my husband have the leftovers and he started eating and asked me where I got it from bc he thought it tasted foul.
Brought my mom here when she came to town. She lived in Japan for over three years and said this is some of the best sushi she has had in America. They have a great variety, great quality and the service is FANTASTIC. Can not say enough great things about this place

Amazing experience! Great food and awesome staff. Cooks were so friendly and one even helped me learn how to use chopsticks!! The owner is a very kind man. My family had a great time. Definitely recommend:)

Amazing, intimate experience, thanks to the kind hearted owner and friendly sushi chefs. Everyone goes above and beyond. Sashimi (tuna, yellowtail) was so ridiculously fresh tasting. My partner cannot eat uncooked foods and therefore orders California rolls, which somehow tasted better here than other restaurants we go to. Lovely place, give it a try!
