Sorry, team!Second time getting take out and I was a fan because of the Union market location. I decided to check the new location on K st.. the customer service was fine however the food was not cooked, all ingredients rolled over and leaked oil in my car, and the calamari salad didn’t have any dressing to taste.. went ahead and set our oven at 350 and made our own dressing…pretty disappointed. Wonderful pizza & service. It was our first time here and they explained their ordering system in such a great way. After we placed our order we received our pizza in less than 15 minutes really quick. The pizzas were delicious and on point. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent pizza, thin center and thick crust, nicely cooked. We had the piccante pizza, spicy sausage, tomato sauce, mozzarella and salami. We shared one, but it’s really an individual sized pizza. If you’re not very hungry, a couple could get by with one or two apps and one pizza. Had a glass of the vermentino, $11. Wasn’t very good. Sharp aftertaste and it was a kinda stingy pour. Otherwise excellent service and pleasant spot. Everyone was working hard and there is a spirit of teamwork. I’d definitely try it again. Oh, one thing that was strange is that if you pay on the toast-tab online feature or app, a 20% gratuity (service charge) is automatically added and can’t be reduced (or increased) and was not disclosed in advance. I didn’t care for that but it’s a relatively minor annoyance (as long as the service remains strong).
The best Italian food I've had when it comes to price to deliciousness ratio.The pictures don't do it justice, I thought it would be a decent place but it's incredible!Each dish I had was delicious and I wasn't even hungry. First off calamari was so excellent. Perfectly cooked and not overly breaded. Next, the salad with mozzarella, mushrooms, and tomato... so flavorful! The panini with shrimp and eggplant was so tasty and would be great for a refreshing lunch. The squid ink pasta with seafood was nice! Personally I like that with squid ink sauce instead of tomato sauce, but still great! Then, the Paccheri all’Avellinese, my favorite dish of all was really good. The noodles are al dente and the sauce so flavorful. Finally, the pizza... It was amazing. I loved the mozzarella and the dough. Truly great stuff.If I look at each dish and compare it to the best I've had, I wouldn't say each was #1. But when you look at it as a whole, and for the value, this is my new favorite Italian restaurant!
Pricey but the food is very good. We set outside during a chilly day and the staff was nice to bring a heater next to us. You order everything through an app, so you don't really have a waiter. Though they do charge a 20% service fee. We had the spicy pizza, the cacio e Pepe, and the arancini.
Twice on Michelin’s guide recommendation, it doesnt disappoint. Our Piccante (house made spicy sausage with salami ans mozza)pizza came briefly after ordering through the online platform. The anchovies on our caesar salad is not fishy at all and tasted fresh with a little tangy that goes well with the creamy dressed lettuce.
Phenomenal Italian food! They have been on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for several years which recognizes good quality and good value cooking all over the world.I have stopped by many times and am never disappointed. Highly recommend their pizza!
Great food, great drinks, and great service. The only blemish was that we ordered a pasta dish and a pizza and they must've forgotten the pasta as we asked them to cancel the order after waiting about 45 minutes and they fixed it by giving us the pasta for free. Definitely did their best to fix it and understandable as it was very busy on a Friday night. Highly recommend!
Wow the pizza here is amazing! Really glad to have authentic Italian pizza in DC, this pizza is so awesome!! It actually tastes better than Pizza in Italy, it's so good. atmosphere is really fun. The drinks look really fun. The other food looks delicious ???. The staff is really friendly and amazing, they greet everyone that comes in the door , it's so cool. what are you waiting for, come eat! Get it my belly
Absolutely LOVE this pizzeria!!! We’ve gotten take out or even DoorDash delivery from here a few times and each time it’s been spot on.The pizza is delicious and really pretty authentic Italian pizza. One of our favorites is the piccante, though you do need to like it a little spicy for that one. Overall, highly recommend!I will say that they can be very busy at peak dinner hours, so you’re going to need to plan ahead, order early, etc. if you don’t want to wait!
