When ordering the platters treat them as two people meals unless you are very hungry. Nice food. The salad with the platters could do with summer feta and olive oil (or more of it if there was any - couldn't really taste it).Nice chips with feta as side and divine tzatziki. Oh, and the spanakopita - beautiful! Would happily eat it as my main (and only) dish.
This place would easily be 5 stars if they prioritized dine-in customers a bit more: when we got there, there wasn't anyone seated, but it still took 30 minutes for us to get our food because they were so busy with to go orders. We each ordered platters and oh my gosh it was so much DELICIOUS food!
I'll be short here. All around good food. Real good. I ordered the souvlaki platter. Delicious. Salad was well constructed and the dressing with delicious. Three Mediterranean Fries are yummy. Clean place. Nice service. Really good food. Not expensive relative to other prices in DC.
Favorite Greek restaurant in DC. The food is always fresh and hot. The pitas always come with a generous amount of fries stuffed inside that are crisp and well salted. The meat is cooked to perfection, while the pita is fluffy but not too soggy. This is my go-to spot for lunch in the area. Outdoor seating is limited because of the space outside but jump on it if there’s a free table.
Really loved the food at Souvlaki. I was attending a conference at Washington Hilton and this was a close walk nearby. The fries tasted great and were plentiful. Highly recommend.
Souvlaki is a great place for a delicious and quick bite!! It is a fast food place, but the decor inside makes it seem a bit fancier. They also offer a fun selection of Greek drinks! However, you must purchase water if you want it.

If you're at Washington Hilton, best to leave from garage entrance, and then it's just a quick 5 minute walk. Great food, and my online order was being wrapped and bagged just as I arrived. Highly recommend.
Walk off the streets of Dupont Circle into a little Greek cafe where photos of Greece's islands decorate the wall. Based in Baltimore, Souvlaki Greek Cuisine is a area-owned fast-casual Greek restaurant where they fill pitas with fries. Here's our experience getting takeout on a Friday evening:1) Food: Their menu is large and includes different types of fries, pitas, platters and dessert. We each ordered a platter and turned it into a pita. My beef pita was very good and comes with fries inside. The platters include two generous portions of sides like a salad or tomatoes and cucumbers.2) Experience: Due to the pandemic, we ordered ahead of time online for pickup. It was easy to order online and they keep you updated on when your order is being prepared and when it's ready via text or email.3) Space: It's designed like a cozy, little Greek cafe with pictures of Greece on the walls and wooden tables and chairs. It's small, but they make good use of the space.4) Service: It's very friendly and attentive.5) Location: It's in Dupont Circle close to many other restaurants, murals, parks and museums.
The haters don’t know what they’re talking about. My partner and I order delivery from here once every two weeks. It’s one of my favorite restaurants in DC. I always get the make your own platter with lamb, rice pilaf, and the cucumber tomato salad. Never disappoints. Portions are a bit small for the price BUT it’s worth it for the quality of the food. You can tell the tzatziki sauce is homemade. The baklava is amazing. You can tell all the food is fresh and prepared by someone who knows what they’re doing. We LOVE Souvlaki!!
