What a great experience! We used George and his team at SmokeDatt Barbeque to cater a 50+ person corporate event. The entire process leading up to the event was seamless. George was responsive and helped us curate an extensive menu within our budget. He even helped us with an off-the-menu punch request. On the day of the event, the team was on time, professional, and friendly. The presentation of the food, condiments, and desserts looked amazing and they came with everything we needed from chaffing dishes to plates and flatware. The food was absolutely delicious (the smoked chicken and the half smokes were personal faves!). Everything was seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend George and his team for any event where you want incredible food and spectacular service. Thank you, SmokeDatt! We hope to work with you again soon!
This business deserves more than 5 stars. I book / host birthday parties on the weekends. A typical weekend is hosting 12 parties. I'm saying all of this to say, that I have tasted food from many different places. None of the other places can top SmokeDatt Barbecue. After eating, ALL of my guest went back to make to go plates. They made sure to put their names on it, so that no one else would take their food. ( Lol) The food Is amazing and the customer service is excellent!
George came in and set up the best meal for our party! I have never seen such a display of food! The food was amazing!!!!

I can not express how GOOD the food at SmokeDatt was! We’re from Boston and we don’t have BBQ place here or ones that are even good. While looking for a caterer for my sister’s baby shower in DC, I found SmokeDatt Barbecue. From the beginning, the owner George was so helpful and not only that honest. We wanted to try almost everything on the menu and this was only for a party of 20 people. He told me that that was way too much food for that amount of people. I loved his honesty. Most people would’ve taken your order and money. He helped us choose a good amount of food, always quick with responses and overall great customer service. He was also very prompt on his delivery time as well.Now on to the finger licking, amazing food! EVERY SINGLE FOOD CHOICE WAS DELICIOUS! The ribs were so tender, bbq chicken was phenomenal, Mac and cheese, shrimp, mash, brisket, the corn on the cob…I can go on but I’m getting hungry thinking about it! There was not a single negative complaint. The seasoning was there, the flavor, just everything. Most of us never had BBQ besides what we make in our on home but this was everything for first timers and people who’ve had bbq before. Everyone went for 2nds, 3rds and even 4ths and had nothing but wonderful things to say. I am so happy I found this place and we will definitely be using SmokeDatt again in the future!!

SmokeDatt Barbecue food and service are top notch. I hired them last minute for my husband's birthday party and they did an awesome job. Our guests raved about their brisket and smoked chicken wings. It takes a lot to impress me, but the SmokeDatt team truly exceeded my expectations. They will definitely be my go to for any catering needs.
What can I say about SmokeDatt Barbecue, other than it's the best BBQ in the DC area. I've traveled quite a bit, and I've hit BBQ joints all over the country, from Texas to the Carolinas, and I can confidently state that George's BBQ holds up to all of them. Especially his brisket. Smoking brisket is truly an artform, and George and the team at SmokeDatt could teach a master class. Highly recommend!
SmokeDatt Barbecue catered my son repass and all I can say is thank you for taking the burden off of me of worrying about feeding the people who attended his service . I reached out to SmokeDatt BBQ and Catering during the busy holiday season. Not only were they very responsive, they also took on my large order of 12 fried turkeys for the church to help feed the DC community on Thanksgiving day. They even offered to carve the turkeys up for us. Everyone raved about how juicy and flavorful the turkeys were. I will definitely be reaching out with more orders!
