Love their banh mi sandwiches! Very filling and the bread is so good. A wonderful neighborhood staple.
It was the first time I was able to eat authentic Vietnamese food because it is halal, and it is the best place in all of DC. John is one of the best people to be able to talk to and seeing him behind the register was always a pleasure. This was the only spot that I would take folks who visit DC to, and each one loved it so much. Although I do not live around there anymore, I would love to visit just for some pho and banh mi again. A 5 star review does not even do it justice, I would give 10 if possible.
Most amazing banh mi we have ever had! So delicious. And Johnny is the friendliest person we have met so far in the US! Johnny hit us up!
Visited because of the great reviews on here but was disappointed in the quality of the sandwiches and drinks. The banh mi are 75% bread and pickled carrots and only 25% protein. The drinks were blended and absolutely bland. I got two different flavors - lychee and passion fruit - and neither tasted like what they should.
Their fresh tofu spring rolls and lemongrass tofu bahn mi single-handedly revived me during a very bad hangover. The owner/chef was so sweet. Highly recommend - hungover or not!

Wow, Simply Bahn Mi is outstanding. As a pescatarian, it is very hard to find an incredible Bahn Mi. This satisfied my craving! I’ll be back time and time again! I recommend the tofu Bahn mi with crispy eggplant, peppers, soy sauce, and special request for moms chili sate ?
Fresh, reasonably priced, small space, delicious meals, would definitely go back again.
