Great atmosphere, the bar tenders was awesome and great drink specials
The bar staff was hella nice, but this isn't a friendly venue if you're a specialty performer. I always had fun at Shenanigans as a customer. Being told to change in the bathroom, having nowhere to put your belongings, and standing outside the bathroom (in basically your underwear) with all your stuff while a line forms... is not a pleasant experience. And apparently someone yelled at the other performer to get out of the only other place we had permission to change -- and that they could change in the bathroom -- in the middle of our performance? We only needed a couple more minutes to pack up and leave. That was embarrassing. Not a great night. :(
Just wanted to take a moment to recognize good people - bartender Ross took great care of our bachelorette group, and went above and beyond to help our friend who was having a rough night. Thanks for being so caring and making sure we got her home safely!
Not a real irish pub. As someone who loves irish pubs (the happiness, the music, the culture) i was disappointed by this place. It seems more like a dive bar atmosphere wise as it is does not hold that Irish pub warmth. It does have a food menu but of the three times i was there only once was the kitchen open, and only some of the fair is irish pub food, there is much better around. The worst crimr however is how cold and unwelcoming they are. 2 of the times i came in and it was dead yet no one acknowledged me. I waited 10 minutes and left. The other time they looked at me weird when i asked for food. I just find the place the opposite of what is advertised. Its a cold and hard dive bar, not a lively and friendly pub. I recomend staying clear.
Went with our kids. Typical fun packed bar.
My bartender Ross was super chill and was very helpful. When I'm back in DC I'll absolutely be back here!
A low key pub with chill people. Weeknights are pretty laid back and the prices for the drinks are affordable compare to the other bars in Adams Morgan. Weeknights are more busy since they have an open bar starting at 9pm, that tends to attract more of a younger crowd. The food is decent if you want something to munch on.
Amazing place! Ross was the best barkeep I've ever had.
Interesting space, loud and sometimes has shows/comedy upstairs. It's not the best bar in DC but definitely a nice place to go to if you just want to drink.
I dearly love this place. But be careful who you tip. There's good and there's bad bartenders
