An amazing topshelf selection! And you can't beat the amount of history in this quaint bar.

Went to the place for a drink and dessert. Service was horrible. I was eating on my dessert and the lady walking passed my table and just grabbed my dessert plate without saying anything, none of the " are you done with this? Or can I take this? Was happened.

This is situated in the willard hotel - a historic hotel. It is not big but that gives it a charm. The mint julep is the signature cocktail and it is amazing.

In DC for the week and checking out the historic bars. This one falls WAY short. Cocktails not made with premium liquor, made incorrectly, (had to send it back to get it right), and the biggest laugher of all, no bar nuts ‘because of Covid’. Every other bar in DC has nuts. They are using Covid as an excuse, cheaping out on the liquor and not caring about crafting a cocktail carefully. Skip the place.

Attentive service, beautiful warm atmosphere and classic drinks - a delicious experience. The mint julep is spectacular, not fussy, and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch keeping bar. We went here to celebrate an occasion but we also went to see the national Christmas tree - great location for this. The historical aspects of the bar make a great addition to the experience.

Christina and her staff are - in a word - AMAZING. Kind, caring and beyond gracious. Special requests are a not a problem for this crew. For the most unique and special celebration, look no further. Grateful for this staff.

Every evening I've ever spent here has been epic. This past time, we got to know half the bar (as per usual here), and there was a great jazz trio playing Christmas music in the lobby. The Willard has the prettiest Christmas decorations in town every year. If you have company coming in from out of town (any time of year), be sure to bring them here. Don't miss the room at the top of the long red staircase that tells about the history of The Willard. MLK Jr finished his "I Have a Dream" speech here.

So, so bad. A seemingly total lack of interest in serving customers who’ve been waiting forever. When we eventually got served it got even worse. My wife’s ‘cocktail’ was premixed puree topped up with sparkling wine…for $20. I went for another of the Christmas cocktails which was described as being served in a cinnamon dusted goblet. I’m not kidding, I got handed a cup of hot cider in what looked like an IKEA mug (nothing wrong with IKEA but that ain’t a goblet) with a candy cane straw which disintegrated and the bottom of the mug was full of this cloudy detritus. Again, TWENTY DOLLARS. Easily, easily the worse cocktail I’ve ever had. And then trying to pay for this embarrassment…the bartender couldn’t work the payment machine. How is that possible? And then the only options for service were 18 or 20%. It’s the only time in my life I’ve wanted to withhold service in America. The epitome of trading on former glories. There are better cocktails and better service at so many other bars in this great city. Please don’t waste your time and money drinking here.

The Round Robin Bar is the perfect place to have a cocktail during the holidays when you’re downtown to see the National Christmas Tree. Located inside the Willard Hotel, which is a work of art in itself, the circular Bar serves cocktails and a full menu of classic options. Cocktails ~$20 apiece. Happy hour is crowded, but there are plenty of standing options around the bar itself, and additional seating options in the hallway of the hotel’s lobby. Our bar table service was quick and efficient. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Piece of history. Pricey drinks but you are paying for the posh ambience.
