The manager was exceptionally nice and the rooftop views were amazing. However, Three bouncers were exceptionally rude and unkind and aggressive to a single female. Management came out and offered a solution which showed great customer service and understanding of humanity, to which the bouncers assertively said no to his suggestion and told the female to leave the property.
Staff kicked myself and my girlfriend out after one drink. Her drink was too strong and spit some out due to that and we we’re promptly escorted out for no reason. Drinks are very mediocre and over priced. Your money can be spent much better in DC.
Everything you loved about the Reef without the aquariums. I have great memories of the rooftop bar from when i moved to DC 17 years ago. The roof is still one of the greatest spots in Adams Morgan for a drink with a view.
Their food and atmosphere were good. Their online ordering system was not. It's super anti social to be out with friends and constantly going back to your phone. They also expect a standard gratuity for providing less then half the service, which is ridiculous.
We went on a Friday night when it was very busy at surrounding restaurants and bars. To my surprise we got in immediately and sat right away. We had a nice window seat and could look down and see the street and nightlife. The online ordering system was easy to navigate. After ordering drinks, they were almost instantly brought out. The food soon came and was piping hot. The burger was delicious and cooked to the perfect medium rare. Great vibes and service. Huge drink selection including draft beer.
The food and atmosphere were great. However, their online ordering system stinks, especially when trying to split the bill among several groups. The food did not all come out at the same time, and some dishes were cold by the time everyone received their food.
Cool place, lots of stairs. Short wait for the rooftop bar and it was very packed. Also no smoking on top level FYI. 10 dollar on Sat evening.
My friend and her date were harassed and chastised yesterday by the workers and the guests in this establishment last night. The owner or manager made a comment “look at her all on his arm they don’t even belong together” because she is a Black woman on a date with a White man. A group of people at a table also yelled profanity at them saying “F*** you”. Overall they made my friend and her date feel highly uncomfortable with their rude, snide, and vile comments. I will never step foot in this establishment.
They make good whiskey sours and the rooftop is nice!
Good drinks, ok food. The 75 minute seating limit is a bit too short
