Loved my grilled cheese and vanilla cupcake ? gluten free done right! (I didn't get the ice cream or iced tea there - that's just the photo I took.) I used doordash to get delivery on a busy day of conferences.

Absolutely delicious! In town for work so I had to stop here and try their gluten free options! Recommend to every gluten free person in DC who has a sweet tooth!!

Recently gone gluten-free so I'm in search of bakeries that specialize in that option. Very friendly staff. The brioche bread was the best! Unfortunately the cupcakes were too dry for my taste and the strawberry pastry didn't taste like strawberries. We drove from NW Baltimore just to try it out. Can't say I'll take that 45 min drive again.

Was traveling through DC and came upon this gem. I have celiac disease and I was literally blown away by the food here. The biscuits were the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I ended up spending oodles of dollars on baked goods and I'm so very happy I did!

I’m always on the hunt for good treats that are both gluten and dairy free. I was so happy to find Rise Bakery! My favorite was the vegan double chocolate cupcake and the vegan cookies and cream cupcake. Both went really well with unsweetened almond milk.Such a nice treat for date night. Thank you for the existence of this place!

Each of the three times I’ve visited Rise the front of house customer service as been nothing but rude. They were impatient, unhelpful, and condescending. The nasty attitude of the two people who have been at the register each time take any personable and community feeling out of what makes buying local so special. Also, it’s outrageously expensive — over $20 for two drip coffees and a small sandwich! We really wanted to love this place as its new, local, and offers a wide gluten free menu. The back of house staff members are always kind and delightful, and it’s unfortunate they have to work with such awful people up front!

Just incredible. The best breakfast sandwich I've had since being gluten-free. We were only in town (30 minutes away) for the weekend and we drove in BOTH days because WOW. Sandwich both days on biscuits for me, hubby grabbed the bagel. Chocolate croissant the first day, ham & cheese the next. I swear it was just the best. I need a shipment sent to Florida like now. Lol.

Very very happy with my experience at rise. Got the 18th street sandwich - delicious bread with arugula, herbed Mayo, bacon, and tomato. I also got a cherry turnover that was amazing. Yet to try the cheddar jalapeño loaf and the strawberry cheesecake but they look great. Can’t wait to come back another time.

Hands down best GF bakery in the DMV. All of their baked goods are incredible and their customer service is excellent. We had our wedding cake made there and everyone sung their praises. Worth the trip!

I am gluten-free, but no one else in my immediate family is. I got a chocolate cake from this bakery for my mother-in-law's 95th birthday celebration. No one could tell that it was gluten-free!
