Delicious coffee and awesome local business! This coffee shop is such a hidden gem and it’s definitely worth a try. They have some specialty drinks as well as a regular coffee menu. I personally love Summer Monster (ordered it three times in a row) but would love to try other specialty drinks in the future! They roast coffee beans (mostly from Southeast Asia) in house, only use spring water (even for ice!), and don’t charge extra for milk substitutes. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. Also, the owner is from Thailand and he’s a really nice guy. Come have a coffee, support local business, and have a chat with him!

please visit Matt! He is a local owner with a variety of different drinks (Vietnamese, Thai, etc.) and the only coffee shop that roasts the beans on-site (something like that, I'm not a coffee drinker). I got the matcha latte with little sugar which was great. We ended up speaking for around 20 minutes, very kind and lovely to chat with. Go check him out!

I’ve never had a matcha latte so fresh and so floral, and the perfect touch of sweetness. I also picked up two bags of beans, both of which were custom roasted to my liking, and at a price far lower than what I would pay at any other speciality coffee shop and some bags at the grocery store. Thank you, Matt, for sharing your coffee knowledge and love with us! I am so happy to support a hyper local business, especially in downtown.

I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!Been traveling around the DC area and trying different coffee shops, and I can say this is one of the best, if not the best, coffee in DC. Their coffee is unique and the taste is so good. The owner is so kind and is obviously know what he’s doing!Beans are roasted made to order and onsite if you want to buy their beans. I’ve never experienced anything like it.Everyone needs to try it!

I'm obsessed with this coffee. I almost missed it and walked into Gregory's. I'm so glad I noticed it. I left with my coffee and noted I could buy bags of beans. After I left, I had my first sip of coffee and was blown away. The coffee had a beautiful, full taste. It had the perfect amount of flavor acidity (not the sour stomach kind!) I called back to ask what blend it was so I could order a bag of beans. The owner was super friendly and told me it was the Asian blend. The next time I'm able to go in, I'm getting a bag of beans. What a hidden gem.

This place is such a gem! Unassuming in appearance, but the product is extraordinary. The coffee is roasted onsite, same day, and leagues more delicious than coffee you find at the run-of-the-mill bakeries around Farragut. The first time I had the matcha latte, my friend and I doubled back to inquire as to what made the tea taste so simultaneously delicate and complex... nothing like the green stuff at Starbucks. It is obvious that the owner/roaster cares deeply about his craft, and I get a warm, fuzzy feeling each time I have the opportunity to patronize this business.

Almost hidden in downtown Washington, D.C. is a truly local roastery. Opened a week before the pandemic shut down the city, it reopened two months ago. Here's why you should visit:1) Story: Owned partly by the man who owns the Thai restaurant above it, Real Deal Coffee Roasters is the product of the owner taking a coffee roasting class. Growing up in Thailand, he sources beans directly from farmers throughout Southeast Asia. He then roasts the beans fresh every day Monday through Friday so the coffee aroma is most powerful. You can smell it as you order your coffee from behind the plexiglass (to keep everyone safe during covid).Being so new to the scene, they weren't able to provide the proper paperwork for a small business loan during the pandemic. To help cut costs, they use basic coffee cups, coffee bags, etc. Despite this, the quality of coffee is not compromised.2) Coffee: Coffee comes in 16 and 12 ounce cups. They have a standard coffee menu with espresso, lattes, etc. Then they have a fancy coffee menu with drinks like the "Dalgona Coffee" with espresso, milk and crunch caramel candy or the "White Horse" made with espresso, milk and sweet whipped cream. My latte was definitely quality roasted and brewed.3) Food: They gave some food, including a $5 waffle and coffee deal every morning they are open (Monday-Friday).4) Space: It's very small and only accept takeout orders. Walk up to the plexiglass and meet the part-owner, Matt. He'll proudly make you your coffee and will share his story when asked. If you love quality coffee from Southeast Asia and like to support hyper local businesses, stop by Real Deal Coffee Roasters.

I love this place!! Not only is the coffee unique, and the waffles and roti delicious, but the owner is a gem of a person!! Please check it out if you haven't already. I'm hopeful that after COVID, more people will return to the area and the business can open the upstairs seating section. It's bound to be a great spot to relax, learn about and drink different types of coffee, eat freshly-made pastries, and catch up with friends.

Happened upon this place during my walk and I'm so glad I stopped in. Really friendly staff and delicious coffee. I got the Thai iced milk espresso and will be going back to get some beans later!
