I’ve gotten several different types of bread from Ravenhook now and they’ve all been incredibly good. Definitely recommend checking them out.
Ravenhook has some incredible chocolate chip cookies! We get them from the Hyattsville/Riverdale park farmers market!
The best pound-for-pound chocolate chip cookie in DC!
The jalapeño cheddar bread is dangerous… I ate half a loaf in one sitting. So flavorful- it just raised the bar on my expectations for jalapeño/cheese baked products. Will be returning for more.
I bought a coffee cake from them and it was very dry and lacked flavor. I would not recommend it at all. In addition, they didn't tell there was an extra charge when you pay by card.
The cornbread was absolutely incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and the owner was super friendly and welcoming and you can tell how much work they put into their business. I can’t wait to come back and try some different bread.
Ravenhouse Bakehouse is available at the Park view farmer’s market on Sunday and Columbia heights on Saturday. They’re bread is delicious and always fresh. At the farmer’s market, they bring a different special each week! Highly recommend checking out their stand if you can.

We discovered Ravenhook Bakehouse at the Georgetown Farmers Market this Wednesday. We picked up the most beautiful pecan pie - perfect for Thanksgiving. Truly, we all agreed, it is the best tasting pecan pie we have ever had. Ever. No too much goo and a crust like I’ve never eaten. AMAZING!!The team members we met were friendly and knowledgeable. They are at farmers markets all over the DMV, so you can bet we will buy from them regularly. You should too.
I probably should have provided a review several years ago when I first "experienced" the yumminess of Ravenhook Bakehouse breads! Never too late, right? Ravenhook consistently sets up at the Mosaic District Farmer's Market in Merrifield, on Sundays. I have tried the sourdough, olive, and asiago cheese loaves; I've also purchased the sliced multi-grain bread - ALL, wonderfully fresh and delicious! The ability to buy half-loaves allows you to try something new or get several different kinds without overbuying/wasting. I once purchased jam called "Traffic Jam", made from "end of season" leftover berries and fruit - it was AWESOME! Come to find out, there is a family connection between the jam maker (located in Austin, TX) and Ravenhook master baker! If you happen to see the jam - I highly recommend grabbing it as I don't think they last long! Can't "rave" enough about Ravenhook Bakehouse breads!
